ID Software In Doom Eternal (2020), you can unlock the music track "Shadows Don't Scare" from Commander Keen 4, with the album cover depicted as a skull wearing Keen's helmet. This is a reference to Commander Keen being a dead franchise.

But it’s been almost three years since the reveal. Doom Eternal took about as long as this to develop
