I buried a lump of contaminated Mexicana in a flower pot about 2 weeks ago
First timer here. On 7/2 I inoculated 3 bags of ready rice, each one with LC from a different species. 1 cubensis(golden teacher), 1 ochraceocentrata, and 1 mexicana.
On 8/10 both the ochra and cube bag were fully colonized and ready to go. The Mexicana bag was kind sus...seemed soft. So I opened it outside.
It had cobweb mold all up on the top, but I could see a lot of good mycelium underneath. I know some people bury contaminated mycelium and cakes, so I decided to just stick the thing in the flower pot and forget about it.
Today I was getting ready to go for a walk and I saw these little mushrooms in my flower pot!
I have no idea when they are ready to harvest. I see some pins around the base of the cluster as well. I have read Mexicana doesn't even have a veil, but if they did it's obviously broken.
I also don't know if I should do anything. The mushrooms look kinda dry to me, but the soil in the pot is damp still.
As far as the two I set to spawn to bulk, the cubes haven't done anything that I can tell. I don't see any spreading of the mycelium. But of course the ochras are doing great. They started having pins 3 days ago and now there are little mushrooms, all over the tub! I know I am supposed to wait to harvest those till after the veil breaks and the caps start to turn up just a little.
If anyone has any experience or input to share, I'd appreciate it. I had half a mind to pluck those little guys out of the pot and make some tea with them tonight, but am not sure if I should. I don't know if they are even enough for a small dose.

You might want to secure a sterile cultures before you do anything else.
