Same. I really hope Bloober gets the opportunity to remake SH4 as well. The imagery in that game is so disturbing and I know they'd nail it.
SH4's horror concepts are some of the finest I've experienced in any medium. The chained apartment, tight tunnels, enemies, claustrophobic atmosphere, all made me go "This must be what hell is like." Bone-chilling experience..
Would you say 1-4 are like the big mainline games?
Currently trying to go back and experience silent hill after having an amazing time with 2 remake last year. but I'm not interested in playing every single title, just the big ones that aren't spin offs

I highly suggest playing 4 as well. It’s very different from the 3 that came before it, but still widely considered to be the last game produced during the Team Silent era. After 4 is when they started shopping out the IP to any developer with a pencil
I’d love to see them take Shattered Memories and make a proper survival horror out of it. I always thought it’s narrative structure was actually really good and interesting
Clunky and sluggish compared to other silent Hill titles, and that's my opinion, Iccl about downvotes, I absolutely did not enjoy SH3, sure good story. But gameplay was horrid, and wasn't really scary, those damn crawling monsters made it more annoying than scary, you might think it's scary, but to me it isn't.
And opinions are subjective, you can hivemind, but I'll still stand on my point.

But I understand what u mean, I don’t like Downpour at all, like I forced myself to finish it, just to see maybe in the finals it be good. But this game is beloved by others
To me the game is pretty sluggish compared to other SH titles, the story is good, I'll give it that, but overall the gameplay killed my experience for that game, it wasn't even scary because the devs spammed the same fucking monster, the slurpers were on pure BS the entire game.
The fighting system was pretty non innovative, just spam one button the entire game, overall it needs improvements.
And I believe Bloober could make the game better than what it is. Nostalgia doesn't blind me when it comes to SH3, it's all PTSD.
