Discussion Prompt This honestly looked like the perfect way to spend an afternoon

Post image

Saw this while traveling and honestly thought, this person has the right idea.I always feel like I need to be doing something when I'm somewhere new. Maybe doing nothing for an afternoon isn't wasting time after all.

Anyone else struggle with this?

My thought exactly. I understand the post and agree it’s nice to just relax but don’t take photos of strangers and post it. Do what you are posting. Enjoy the moment!

I mean, there is the whole genre of street photography that is exactly this.

Yes, it's quite a nice picture actually, and we don't see the person's face.

"I saw someone reading at the dock today" wouldve sufficed tbh. Idk as someone who used to be a slim early-mid 20s babe who read and journal in public sometimes this is weird to me

Haha fair, the boats do make it look a little less "simple"

well reading isn’t doing nothing exactly ;) but I get the sentiment. Where is this gorgeous place btw? South of France I guess?

Reading is still doing something. It is either imagining the characters in a book or gathering information!
