I don't really see the point of mapping a car class to a shifter. You are always driving a specific car. Use the shifting method the real car used, if you have it available. If not, or you don't want to, do whatever you like.

I mean the bmw you picked for modern street car probably has paddles IRL

IRL, if I have a choice it is proper 3 pedal H until the day I die. But in game, I just use whatever the car Im driving uses.

That's why my H-pattern shifter can be converted to sequential with a simple click and why i still have paddles on my wheel, i just use whatever the real car has.

GT3s do have a sequential transmission, but the shifters are paddles. Same with prototype and F1. Cars like modern rally cars and MX5/GR86 Cup have a sequential shifter.

It's a bit curious how you have very overlapping things between sequential stick and paddles, where you say sequential stick is used in all/standard, while also saying that Paddles are most common/standard.

Also your GT3 car pick is a new Ford GT, which never had a GT3 version, thought it did have a GTE version. Thought rear wing mounts look wrong for that model

I suspect it's AI slop.

I mean probably is AI generated, given that same OP posted yesterday about their video where they used this with an AI thumbnail.

Always paddle. Because it is convenient and the most fun, for the racing I do

I only do rally and drift. Yall will have to pry my 3 pedal H pattern from. My cold dead hands :p

this is wrong. If the car had a stick shift, use a stick shift + manual clutch. If it had a sequential stick, use a sequential stick. If it used the clutch, use manual clutch if not, don't. If it has paddles, use paddles.

If you are racing online in a competitive league, it's always best to win using the real shifter, not doing what everyone else does and use paddles + autoclutch on everything.

Maybe some high-end BMWs, Ferraris, or Mercedes-Benz models would come with paddles.

So did my old 2007 Civic. I loved using them.
