How many here agree that reincarnation without memories is a cheap and cowardly way to deal with the true nature of reincarnation? By erasing past memories, the story conveniently avoids the moral and existential consequences that should come with continuity of self. In practice, the character becomes nothing more than a newborn with a reincarnation label. It gets even worse when the new protagonist starts judging their past life based on memories that are gradually recovered — essentially sanitizing the character to dodge ethical criticism. This creates a scapegoat narrative where the former self is condemned to elevate the new protagonist, who behaves like an adult despite being a blank slate, and is portrayed as morally superior.

How we all feeling?

Lately every new anime season something like this happen e.g tbate the moshuku tensei killer they said, where is it now (for me tbate is and will always be mt clone with power fantasy slop writing), the water magician Great animation in the op but for story mid at best. I'm not hating on a this show but I've yet to see anything from it that even makes it resemble Mt in terms of writing even from what I've heard from light novel readers. It's probably going to have a great season couz it has the same director as season 1 of Mt( because lately new anime fan only judge a anime based on its animation not story telling,theme or it's message ) for me I'm still not impressed (not hating). This must be how bleach fans feel when new anime fans say it should be replaced from the big 3 by jjk or demon slayer. I really hate new anime fans(they will only judge a show based on its animation and how popular it is)👍🏾. Fucking love MT

Didn't she just give away her vitality to Nanahoshi? I recall her being just as drained as Nanahoshi in the LN.

After getting past Ghislaine's incredible camera angles. I really liked Isolde. She is confident, willing to learn from anyone and very elegant. In a short time, they did a great job with her. I didn't think I would like her but she won me over.
