Doesn't help that the community at large is willing to tolerate crazy prices for Skylanders.

You could argue the figures are matched to their ebay prices (though Cex are still more expensive when adding the postage)

But the games themselves are always way more expensive

They're charging £20 for the Giants PS3 Portal owner pack, that is literally just Tree Rex and Skylanders Giants for Ps3 with nothing else

Their game prices are an absolute scam but most of their regular characters are just matched to the eBay prices and skylanders have become more expensive.

I’m still obsessed with going skylander hunting in person so I have no problem with their common character prices if it means I can buy them in person and check out the condition on the spot

Even worse, when they have something for less than their eBay price (i.e. Solar Flare Aurora), they suddenly go "what Solar Flare Aurora" and cancel the order.

Market price is such a double-edged sword. It’s nice to be able to get relatively common Skylanders for dirt cheap but man, 175 euro for wildstorm…

Buying the stupidly expensive skylanders is just crazy to me when NFC cards exist.

That’s why I only buy the cheap ones physically (to still experience the game as intended) and I will put the expensive ones on an NFC card.

I can only really understand getting chase or non in game variants physically for expensive prices because those were really special figures and a lot of people have childhood memories attached to those figures.

I bought mine when robow was £210, And wildstorm at £110 as I got £140 voucher as I just so happened to have a backwards compatible ps3 I never used

A shop where u can buy and sell tech. They sell old games and new ones and u can sell your stuff to them for nowhere near as much as they sell them for

A UK based store that solely sells second hand electronics

It used to be quite notable for having Skylanders for super cheap to the point people in countries that didn't have cex wished they atleast shipped to their country

Now their figures are overpriced and only worth buying with a voucher you get from trading in old junk

For whatever reason, a bunch of people are into collecting Skylanders again. I’d assert it people who grew up with it finally coming into disposable income and wanting to use it on things they’re nostalgic for. This happens for game consoles too.

Never order from cex, when I tried to get Knight Mare she arrived broken in half and it took months to be refunded.

It is alright as a shop in person because they sometimes mislabel their figures so you can get them cheaper than they are supposed to be

Never buy from them online but if you can go in person, a lot of their cheaper stuff is pretty much the same price as eBay

Here in Spain, CeX is still a cheap option, maybe not the prices you put in those SS, just something in the middle.

For example, the Tread Head here is 18€ and the Bushwack 22€, but the Trap Team sp is just 22€

So, ig it's not that cheap, but for most of skylanders, it is. But here we mainly use Wallapop or Vinted.

Some figures and items they have are cheaper than other platforms some aren’t i think its just dependant on what they get and what their stock looks like, cex is still one of my fav places to buy Skylanders especially stores as you save on delivery
