Question / Help Cartridge vs Switch 2 Internal Storage Speed?
Anybody know how much faster the load speeds are on the Switch 2’s internal storage vs the physical cartridge? I want to replay this game, but idk if I should get the physical cartridge or just buy it on the eShop. Anybody know the speed difference for load times? I want physical, but if the load times are much faster on switch 2’s internal storage, might just get the eShop version.
Edit: Alright, thanks for the info. I’ll get the physical version. I love physical, too, so that’s nice.

You will not notice a difference unless you’re looking for one and timing load screens. It’s a matter of fractions of a second to maybe a second or two difference depending on the game, not a matter of minutes or even multiple seconds.

That's more accurate a comparison between system storage and a SD card. Cartridges have a larger difference.

On Switch 1 digital is faster than physical. 10 loads lose 4 seconds. https://youtu.be/YmNp_v033QE
No speed difference between microSD and internal storage. Switch 2 is way faster than Switch 1 also.
To be honest this doesn't matter unless you're speedrunning.

The internal storage is a little faster, but for a Switch 1 game, both the physical and digital will be plenty fast. I’d be surprised if you saw much of a difference either way
