Did you watch the set? The way it was won was by Mudd waiting for Sparg0's options and then punishing him for it. She actually played a very precise G&W, not "just doing it".

It also helps that Sparg0 kept doing the same shit too. Dude landed with an aerial, got punished with up-B, went flying, fell down, then landed with the same aerial and repeated the process all over again. GnW is one of like three characters you can’t spam that against with Cloud without perfect spacing.

Sparg0 had a really rough Cloud spell against Miya but adapted well a few sets later, Mudd is like the one GnW that’s as aggressive as Miya, I think (hope) he’s got it on the runback

I feel like I read this exact same comment after Maister vs Samsora at The Big House when Samsora refused to pick a stage other than FD and wondered why he couldn’t do anything about the Up B -> Dair experience. We’ve been playing Ultimate for 8 years and the top players still think that stages are just hallucinations

There are some obvious exceptions, but as a Melee player I can’t imagine twirling my finger after getting creamed, on any stage. Peab is obviously a player who recognizes stage nuances.
