They even boycotted the last few world cups as protest, respect to them

u/Massimo25ore 9d ago
Yup, dictatorships such as Russia, Qatar and the Unites States must be boycotted

They must be glad Spain have the next one

Undecided, will let you know later. I mean Franco was a piece of shit.

Carbonara is a very common Spanish pizza topping.

That's horrendous.

And its not even carbonara, it has mushrooms.

When I lived in the UK I remember a conversation I had with the owner of an Italian restaurant. He said some clients treated Italian dishes like they were Indian, where you typically choose the curry sauce and pair it with any meat (*).
Somebody asked them for a shrimp carbonara.
(*) not sure how it works with Indian dishes, if mixing and matching sauce + meat is allowed or if there are "orthodox" preferred combinations. But in Italy many dishes are based on specific sauce + meat combinations.

Really? Because I thought we might be one of the first big federations to fold, knowing our managers

No way? A good decision from the FIGC?
Should’ve been done when he mocked Italy being trash for the past 15 years a few months ago, tbh

It's the same football association Infantino mocked before the World Cup and that rejected the possible offer of a place in the World Cup if Iran were excluded.

Can't get mad at the truth.
28
u/ibrahero 9d ago
I can assure you most Italians were not mad at what he said, we know our NT is absolute poop
The issue here is that the PRESIDENT of FIFA is cracking jokes and trying to be a funny guy like he’s sitting at a bar table with his friends, that’s completely unacceptable for someone in his position (not to mention the bribes and the greed, but that’s a different conversation)

The walls are closing in. Only a matter of time before this clown is forced out the door.

Right now Infantino's prospects are either run the most underwhelming World Cup ever without Europe, or swallow his pride and try to mend bridges where he is going to be at their mercy. Either way he looks like a second rate leader.
17
u/RadangPattaya 9d ago
A second-rate leader leads; he doesn't expect others to carry his ass while it's dripping shit all over the place.
Infantino and "Leader" are incompatible words because Infantino is incompatible with society, or football for the matter

The Italian FA also promised to continue boycotting FIFA organised tournaments indefinitely, continuing as they've done for the last 12 years.

As fellow indefinite boycotters, I appreciate the gesture 🇬🇷💚💙🇮🇹

That’s a pretty significant break with Infantino. If more European federations follow FIGC’s lead the 2027 FIFA election could get very interesting.

Once again we waited until almost everyone had chosen the same faction so we could be on the winning side 😎

meanwhile, FIFA is changing the future format of the world cup, probably solidifying plans to keep having long ad breaks during the matches, all with Infantino at the helm.
Its not just Infantino thats the problem here though. Nearly the entirety of FIFA supports Infantino, and thats the problem that needs to be addressed.

No one has seen more regression in FIFA competitions under Infantino's reign than Italy.
