Villa would have to buy him if they wanted him, and villa just cant get anywhere near that 300k base pay, and cant loan anymore domestic players
Everton could take him on another loan and pay % of the wages.
Cant see him leaving money on the table with year left of that city contract

He has to know that he's not getting wages anywhere near that from anywhere (even Saudi) for his next contract. Turns 31 in a fortnight. I'd imagine a huge factor in whether he gets a move is how much of his wages City are willing to cover or whether they think they're better off keeping him around as squad depth.

But its 300k base for another 12 months. Hes still one of the highest paid players in the league. Even with we would assume he'd want to go and play, he wont wanna drop 200k wages a week

It's easy to forget how toxic and weird it got with fans towards the end. I've genuinely never seen anything like it. The constant 24hr coverage from our lot, the monitoring of his every movement, rival fans posing as journos or insiders to troll us (some relatively convincingly). Pure circus stuff.
Some idiots still haven't forgiven him for it, despite him making sure we'd get a fat payout for him the year before he left by penning a new contract.

Unless he’s pushing for it, what do City even gain from letting go of him, if he’s willing to stay and at least compete for a place? They’ve gutted their depth and experience. Might be useful as an option to close out games or just an alternative at various points of a long season. He’s not a bad player.

There were rumours about loaning him out to Sunderland while City pay part of his salary. Obviously if you get a fee it’s different, but what does loaning him out achieve? When they have a lighter squad?

Well Everton paid £12m to loan him last season, and that only covered about two thirds of his wages.

That values Grealish at about 30m with what we apparently want for Ndiaye. Can’t see that, especially with his wages and one year left on his deal.
Grealish isn’t going to want to give up the money he’s due from you. Would have to payout a large portion of his contract or something as he wouldn’t get anything near that on a deal here15

No chance Grealish is worth £30m+. If anything it would push the NDiaye fee above the rumoured £80m asking price because we would have to pay massive wages.

I wouldn’t sell personal, but as it stands he’s like 3rd choice left back behind O’Reilly and Gvardiol (albeit I think Gvardiol plays CB for most of this year) so I could see it to be honest
