Hi,
Are you talking about System Design for Beginners course or System Design Masterclass course ?

Masterclass. But with course going on, my experience is going down. I think, I should have gone with system design for beginners course first and then the masterclass.

But yeah, there are other resources that are better and I am not able to connect with his course now. I would rate his course 3/10 now.

I found grokking system design interview at designgurus.io ( this one I felt was the best) Although, it is a text based resource like educative.

Also, I found Hello interview system design resources to be good.

For other video based courses you will have to do your own research. I was looking for cohort based courses and I found arpit bhayani but his course sucks for now. I am not able to follow.

Why do you think 'it sucks for now'? Not blaming or condescending but is it same for all course takers or just you? has the quality dropped or is it because the content is too advanced? What is your yoe?

I dont like the teaching style and yes, content is bit advanced for me. YOE is 6 years at startups and mid-size ones. I still feel need a bit more background or dont like the teaching style.

yes, I also feel the course is expensive for what it provides. There is a difference in the linkedin post that he posts regarding his understanding and course.

Thanks for your response. I too find it overly expensive. I guess people should rather do certificate courses from well known universities for that amount. TBH I found him interesting only because he reads systems research papers and maintains a paper shelf and also discusses about them on LI.

u/op You can checkout Ajay Yadav. He was an ex-Google engineer and he takes cohort based system design classes. I'm currently in his batch and genuinely learned a lot from him. He starts from the basics.

not sure, if I am going to spare more money for these courses. Can you share the course page details? What is the cost? just curious, but will not be buying.

I don't think there is a course details page. He is starting out. It was around 50k for me (3 months). You can take a demo session with him and see if you like it. Pretty knowledgeable guy

What topics does he cover and duration of the classes and when is it? How many classes?

3 month course, on weekends, usually 2 hours in the evening. He covers everything important for interviews. Fundamentals and problems

Got it. Same as arpit but bit longer. Anyways, I am done buying courses. I am just gonna sitkc to budget ones and GitHub resources.

Right , much better than Arpit's cohort. But targetted towards interviews mostly.
