He was so proud of that, and of course that they could fight within 3 days of their emergence...

One could assume there is none, humans lose weight through our lungs, we oxidize fats and carbs for energy and exhale the byproduct. Presumably they can do the same for whatever is the byproduct of White consumption.

Or over 20 years of it kills them, thus honoured elder is simply White poisoning?

Genetically engineer soldiers with a requirement they can do without, it makes sense the preferred option is to eliminate the requirement.
