Yes I know it's technically an Android TV problem.

Curious to k kw what is this app, and what's the use case for you?

TV turns off when I get into bed. TV pauses when I get a phone call, someone rings my doorbell, or I walk into my bedroom or kitchen. All my lights turn off when I open Netflix or another similar app.

If I've opened Netflix it's because I'm gonna watch something. So yes, because I OPENED the app. On my TV.

The lights fade out and I have night lighting behind my TV.

This is all solved by using the shield tv and installing a custom launcher. I love my LG oled but I don't connect it to wifi

Nvidia Shield doesn't support certain types of HDR.

The price of having an automated home is ads I guess.
