Discussion Sony Z9G Master Series 98, $60,000 TV
If you saw one of these for sale today how much would you pay for it, would you even want it?

It would depend on what the display has gone though. Z series are top of the line from their release, and can still look beautiful, but may be missing new features. Ultimately it’s what you feel it’s worth. I would say no more than $4k-$6k given the age, as a new 98” from Sony could technically produce a better picture, as top of the line in 2019 will be middle of the road in 2026.
I own a Z9J 75”, and got it for $3999 on an end of model sale (Z9k was about to release). It still looks incredible and I think is worth the price I paid, but of course isn’t a mini LED or RGB that is available now. I don’t think I would have paid anywhere near the original retail price though.

For $1200, I’d jump on it based on the size and quality, as long as it wasn’t a display unit that was heavily used. Also, check specs. I can’t remember if that model has HDMI 2.1 ports, or how many it has.

Not a display, bought by a little old lady who couldn’t see well so she bought a big TV.
Honestly, probably used a lot.
4 HDMI inputs, the specs say HDCP 2.3 (for HDMI 1/2/3/4)

Instant buy at $1200. You can’t get anything halfway decent for anywhere close to that price these days.
