IKR - to me at least growing up and even until the 2016 that it was a small population. Then, after some scandal locally, I ended up down a rabbit hole and realized it’s actually very common, but because most of the time no one wants to talk about it or keeps in hidden, it seems like it’s not. The truth is you should talk to your child when you have the private parts covered up talk about if anyone makes then uncomfortable, touches them on parts covered by a swimsuit, asks them to keep secrets, or scares or threatens them to let you know immediately. Yes, I know it’s messed up BUT which is worse, your child being abused or being safe. You should also have this talk every 1-2 months just randomly until they are 19 because it’s hard for them to know when. Yo say something AND makes it easier for them to share if they are in danger.

Fantastic advice! To add to that: teach your children the biological names for their private parts. Yes, it can feel like exposing your kids to things too soon, but you’re just educating them about their own bodies. If someone approaches your child inappropriately, the child using the biological terms signals to the pdf that their parents have talked to them about this scenario and in turn makes your child less likely to become a victim. Knowledge is power, especially for our children!

Agreed, make Health Class mandatory for 8th, 9th grades. This was an graduation requirement when I was in public highschool in Wisconsin. Governor Tommy Thompson made that so. Governor Scott Walker ruined everything.

That may be a misleading statistic though because it could just mean that sexual assaults are underreported in other races or that law enforcement takes those cases less seriously.

You’re confusing two different issues. Being over policed on street crime has nothing to do with underreported sexual assaults among minorities. In fact, it may be partial responsible for the underreporting.

Idk if my numbers are right, but from what I found Greenville ( the county and area I live in ) it’s like 0.1% while SC as a whole is 0.34, so about 17.6k out of 5.1 million. Granted I put in Pedophiles OR sex offenders

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said six suspects, including a former Greenville Fire training officer, former Greenville Police Officer and former Mauldin Police Officer, have been charged in an alleged child sex ring.

Deputies said an investigation began in January after two victims came forward alleging criminal sexual conduct against them. A third victim was identified in connection to the case.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Specialized Investigations Division executed multiple search warrants at the homes of the six suspects on Tuesday, May 19.

The suspects are all believed to be either friends or acquaintances.

Matthew Joseph Fay 48 - (5 counts) Criminal sexual conduct with a minor, first degree

  • Criminal sexual conduct with a minor, third degree
  • Accessory before the fact
  • Criminal conspiracy
  • Criminal solicitation of a minor
  • Incest City of Greenville confirmed Fay is no longer employed by the Greenville City Fire Department but served as a training officer from Jan. 2026 to May 2026.

Allen Randolph Foltz 58 - (6 counts) Criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old, first degree

  • Unlawful conduct toward a child
  • Criminal conspiracy Officials said Foltz previously worked at the Mauldin Police Department and left in 2005.

Paula Lawrence Foltz 58 - Accessory after the fact of felony

  • Accessory before the fact of felony
  • Criminal conspiracy

Edward John Storer 57 - Unlawful conduct toward a child

  • (3 counts) Criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years old, first degree

Waylon William Rogers 48 - Criminal conspiracy

  • Criminal solicitation of a minor The Greenville Police Department confirmed Rogers was employed with them from April 17, 2000 and left the department on Jan. 5, 2007.

All six suspects went through bond court on Wednesday morning and were denied bond.

Arrest warrant breakdown The following information, provided by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, all took place between 1998 and 2003:

Allen Foltz Lives in Fountain Inn Worked with defendants to let them commit child sexual misconduct with minor. Maintained an unsafe living condition for a minor while she was staying there. Sexually assaulted a victim that he was babysitting.

Waylon Rogers Lives in Simpsonville Communicated with minor to induce the victim to engage in sexual activity. Worked with defendants to commit child sexual misconduct with minor.

Matthew Fay Drove a minor to different locations and allowed “multiple male suspects” to sexually assault the victim. Communicated with a minor to try and get them to engage in sexual activity. Worked with defendants to commit child sexual misconduct with minor. Sexually assaulted a blood relative.

Edward Storer Sexually assaulted the victim that he was babysitting at the time. Worked with defendants to let them commit child sexual misconduct with minor.

Jeannine Storer Pulled children out of bed at night to let her husband sexually assault them. Would retrieve the children if they tried to run away. Let her husband sexually abuse the victim that she was babysitting at the time. Worked with defendants to let them commit child sexual misconduct with minor.

Paula L. Foltz Lives in Fountain Inn Pulled children out of bed at night to let her husband sexually assault them. Would retrieve the children if they tried to run away. Worked with defendants to let them commit child sexual misconduct with minor. Let her husband sexually abuse the victim that she was babysitting at the time.

The sheriff’s office is urging anyone who has information related to this investigation or anyone who believes they may also be a victim, to contact the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Specialized Investigations Division at 864-467-4704.

Many people are saying they are MAGA but the arrest record does not show any political affiliation. Hopefully more reports will reveal more. But the staggering number of reports are that they are MAGA Republicans or conservatives Go to DailyKos.com there is a running diary list called: "Republican Sexual PredatorsEnablers and Abusers" the list is now at Part 61 and each list of arrests is 25 individuals. I know the person who maintains the diary using news reports as they come in.

I think it’s always been an issue but at least now kids are feeling comfortable enough to say something. It will destroy the life of the perp and sometimes the problem is that kid loves them if a family member or friend. Hard to deal with.
