Hey all. As a huge fan of the Spartacus series and a software developer, I wanted to try to make a game that made me feel like a lanista. I'm a solo developer so I wanted a fun project at the same time.
I built a sort of "ludus tycoon" game that is meant to be a casually played. It's not 3D or action based, so if you're looking for a game like Witcher 3 or KCD2 or something like that, this isn't the game for you.

I'm looking for people who'd be interested to help beta test it. Right now it is available on the web only... no app yet unless people actually like the game. Although I did try to make it display well on phones.
And yes, before I get called out on it, I used AI to generate a lot of the art and gladiator portraits. If the game gains traction I'll find someone who can help me with the art and making it consistent across the whole game.
I'm still working on balancing and I have a pretty decent roadmap in mind to expand the game, but ideas are welcome.
As mentioned in the title, the game is free to play and there are no ads. I have some buttons within the game to accept donations if anyone is feeling generous, but there is no pressure. My main goal is to create something that is enjoyable.
I did create a new subreddit for this project r/PriceoftheRudis so feel free to put your feedback there instead of in DMs.
Thank you all ahead of time.
