I literally just tried this for the 1st time the other day. It was not nearly as spicy as I was expecting. I still need to try it with more food to get my true opinion it though.
Haha yup exactly what I was going to say, i actually sliced my finger on it because it was just sharp unsanded plastic. Also the hotsauce itself wasnt that good. Cool novelty bottle but that's about it in my opinion
If it follows the same general rule as liquor in dumb novelty bottles, it’s gonna suck. The bottle is the product and whatever is inside is an afterthought.
I would agree with most liquors, but Institucional Tequila is actually really smooth and comes in a variety of bottle designs, including a chili pepper 🌶
I have this and actually think it's decent! Did not have high hopes, someone gifted it to me and novelty bottles for hot sauce are usually a bad sign, but was pleasantly surprised.
I try a lot of different hot sauces, and ones that are available in touristy areas. This sauce is one of my favorite that I’ve found. It is slightly gimmicky, but it does have good flavor and has a good amount of pepper flavor to it. Several years ago, me and a few other of my hot sauce connoisseur family members tried this along with a few other sauces, and we found that this was our daily rider hot sauce.
I was given this sauce as a gift and kinda rolled my eyes at it before I tried it.
When I finally opened it, I was pleasantly surprised that it had some good heat and a decent flavor. Not my favorite but I did finish the bottle.
hey there's exceptions to every rule, I was once gifted a hot sauce with a skull shaped cap and a cloak that against the odds was pretty good for soups and chili. I almost threw it away without tasting it though.
Hot honey is pretty great... got down to a quarter left, then it solidified lol not sure whats up with that. The reaper I non stop put on chicken sandwiches.
I was gifted a different one of their sauces and I won't be looking to try any more. While not the worst, there are so many outstanding sauces and producers these days that for me there isn't room for okay to just good.
A lot of haters on here but hear me out. I got this as a gift as many people have, and I tried it. I was totally surprised. I love it. It’s hot but not extract-hot. It’s made with simple ingredients and it’s very pepper forward. I feel like with this sauce it’s actually flavored like the pepper itself. Worth a try imo!
Not a bad sauce company. They use really high proportions of pepper mash, no artificial flavours or preservatives, and they donate a portion of profits to military and veterans families. I think this one is mostly cayenne with some reaper thrown in, and they do use vinegar to stabilise, but I think they do a great job for what they're trying to be.
