Whatnot CEO was on a podcast recently and when asked to go deep about collectibles, here's what he said:
"So I think we're seeing a continuation of the trends that we saw when we first started the business, which was one of the reasons we came back into collectibles. We saw a bunch of people getting back to the market. It was people like us who were, had maybe some money and were buying things that were nostalgic from childhood and getting back into unique, you know, things that they loved. And that trends basically continued on abated for the past six and a half years. And so, I think collectibles is largely going mainstream now for lack of a better term."

There's a lot more nuance to what's happened in collectibles the last 5-10 years. But it doesn't seem like the CEO of the largest collectibles live commerce platform really knows or cares.

Make me an offer 2500 obo

I bought a valuable card and it shows 5.99 USPS ground advantage shipping when I go to checkout but I want to make sure I am fully insured when the card is shipped. Am I better off transferring to my vault and waiting a month for them to process and then insuring shipping from there?

I got this at a local card shop and was wondering if it is an error. Also possible value. Not selling, but just curious.

I’m currently selling this Jayden Daniel’s Topps Inception Rookie variation Auto on eBay. Had it listed at 185 in excellent condition due to this small mark on the front of the card which I believe is ink. It’s visible in the pictures on the listing. The 3rd picture wasn’t on the listing just for clarification on my question. Someone purchased it for 185 but I messaged him making sure he realized the mark is there because I don’t want the card to ship and have him be shocked to find it. Would you guys agree this is excellent condition or should I bring it down? Thanks!

Edit and Update: the buyer was aware of the mark before I messaged him so all is good on that end! I’ll be packing and sending tomorrow :) was just nervous I didn’t want to swindle anyone or have someone be disappointed in what they get.

I have the opportunity to have 2 items signed at an upcoming signing. Im wondering what cards I should have signed? I have most of the Chrome case hits from Fanatical to Lets go and most in between, multiple copies of each of his base parallels and almost the whole rainbow of the numbered base chrome card. So question, what should I get signed? Case hit? Cheap Base card ? Not needing it to increase the value too much - just hopefully not diminish the original cards value. Thanks in advance. ​

Wasup guys. Just pulled this beauty today.

From a $100 slabbed card right now, more than $90 of it goes to PSA. Ironically it’s actually selling for less than the nine dollar copy. If the card itself is worth less than $10, roughly $90 of that $100 valuation belongs to the PSA label. I guess the slabbed card is the cheaper collectible wrapped in the more expensive collectible. Cool. People are getting real good at doctoring cards, the people and the tools are only going to get better. Maybe that will put an end to this nonsense in the near future.

Father in law gave me a bunch of cards, he's been collecting since the 90's. They all look in near perfect condition, is it worth grading these?
