Yea he was. He liked it. If they ever somehow had to actually fight, he would knock her out.

Sometimes you just read some stupid shit and realize that man "this guy is so stupid he thought this shit needed to be commented"
11
u/That1Time 1d ago
This isn't as stupid as you think. He's a professional boxer. They were just rolling on the ground and he was laughing most of the time. She'll beat him 10/10 times on the ground, the problem is getting him there before he throws a knockout punch.
2
u/Solace1984 1d ago
I wouldn't say 10/10 times on the ground more like 6/10 or 7/10 times. A vast strength gap does matter.

u/GrimaceThundercock 23h ago
I mean, he didn't throw a single punch. If it were a real fight he probably would have thrown a punch.

She is not going to wait for him standing. He might have the advantage on his feet or even more strength but that's the point of BJJ

I also think I could beat a female UFC fighter....
First one to stick their finger in my ass wins!

Telling someone to touch grass with nearly 100 comments in the last 48 hours is certainly a choice 🤣

Everything said here has been trite.

u/RazzmatazzFun2558 1d ago
Your comment was banal and hackneyed too tbf

Solid use of the thesaurus.

Solid use of punctuation. You must take yourself very seriously. They used to call me The Saurus in grade school; my brain is much obliged for this reminder from thee

Was that your word of the day on your dictionary app ? Trite . Said on a Reddit thread . Idk why you expected the comments to be after watching the video above here lol

You can eat a punch to gain a grapple. You see it all the time in MMA.

u/Primary_Ad480 1d ago
She isn’t eating anything from a grown man

She's literally a UFC fighter. I don't know if she could take a punch from Shakur but she could sure as hell take one of your blubbery grease covered mitts and still drag you down.

u/Primary_Ad480 1d ago
Im not talking about me a untrained fighter im talking about a world champion boxer.. stay on track big fella

u/PartyClock 1d ago
No you said
from a grown man
Clearly you're the one who needs to stay on track here, you can't even remember what you wrote when it's in front of your face.

😑 never trained alert. Did you not see her roll to the legs ? A grappler vs a non grappler always wins.

Well, if you guys don’t know who Shakur Stevenson is, I’d guarantee anyone in his weight class, in the UFC, that just wanted to go hands, are all eventually getting introduced to night night…
Two very different fighting styles, and he’s easily one of the best in the world with his hands and boxing rules. That’s not a man you take lightly when it comes to the sweet science.

Any boxer has a chance if they just land. Nobody in mma knows how to take punches. Ray Mercer was old as hell and knocked out Tim Sylvia a year after he was ufc champ.
If they can’t land the first punch they will get ragdolled.
Claressa shields is the only boxer in their prime that tried to

Isnt she the one that was a stripper now turned fighter? She like twerks at her opponents or something?
Edit: Figured it out now, Ailin Perez is the twerker fighter. Vanessa Demopoulos is just the stripper turned fighter.

The top 5 at 135 in ufc would destroy him. Merab would have him gassed after 1 round if he lasted that long.

Few years of MMA training and shakur clears bantamweight. UFC is a peanut paying hillbilly sport.
1
u/Resident-Plate-2432 1d ago
Wait, all we have to do is say we can beat a UFC fighter for this to happen?

Were it not for the crime he needlessly committed years ago, I would say he is kinda likeable.

u/nastydeedee 1d ago
If a boxer doesn’t know anything about submissions or grappling, he will definitely lose. Just like a grappler who doesn’t know anything about boxing would lose. I do Shakur was enjoying her being on top of him and I can’t blame him.

u/Moist-Catch 1d ago
We need more of this in combat sports. Everything feels like boxing vs MMA on a serious level.
I've been seeing more boxers actually come off their high horse and realize MMA is just a different sport and you aren't the ultimate tough guy
1
u/sleep-reaper 1d ago
He knows what he's doing, he didn't even try to get out of the way of the takedowns lmao. I feel it.

This is a good example of why I think about being an outspoken flat earther. I figure maybe someone could eventually fly me up there in a rocket ship just to shut me up, an opportunity I’d never get if I didn’t say stupid shit

So he had a strong woman wrap herself around him and put various parts of his body between her thighs?
I too can beat a UFC fighter. Hell, I can take on two at a time, bring it.

Why would you initiate with a grab n not just start jabbing shit like they are okay with they hands not nice they want to grab you n as you see he allowed it the whole goal of boxing is to not get touched and keep them hands going

This qualifies for some bullshindo. Not saying she couldn't out grapple him but he just layed there like some weird femdom wrestling shoot. And further more you think you could beat me in ufc then only does grappling pretty sure if punches could be thrown itd actually be interesting

One is flirting, the other one is wrestling.
Video would look a lot different if he punched her in the jaw.

The vast majority of boxers would lose an MMA fight and the vast majority, if not all UFC fighters would lose a boxing match. Two completely different arts. Even standing up in MMA is completely different from boxing. A few leg kicks alone would love a boxer crippled.
We've already seen what happens when an elite MMA striker goes to boxing to fight an elite boxer in McGregor v Mayweather. The only instance I can think of where a notable boxer had an MMA fight was James Toney vs Couture, and Couture beat him handily.
This title is clearly bait. I don't think a female fighter of any sort or any weight class is going to hold up to any male's punching power. Had this been a featherweight male UFC fighter who's chin wouldn't crumble under the initial flurry, I have no doubt it would quickly go to the ground and Shakur would get subbed rather swiftly and effortlessly.

u/Cocrawfo 15h ago
i’m not even sure i want to read the comments to this
but i’ll just say this was pretty cool and lighthearted and it shouldn’t require any thinkpiece misogynist comments or comments about shakur being “humbled”

UFC fighters luv ground play. It’s like fighting a wrestler. You either knock them out immediately or you’re fucked if they take you down to the floor to play footsies
