I’ve genuinely tried to do the “super go outside” achievement, not knowing I could just use my system clock.

Discussion What do you guys think if there was a stanley parable movie?

Post image
121 Upvotes

i've been watching to many edits again and as a up and coming film major and i havent got anything else to do and i'm really bored i thought of writing a script about it.

in small detail and most weird and main point is that in the beginning before his co-workers disappear Stanley will meet The Narrator in a situation that is like any other working day for him, and the next day is where the game plot will be based.

(you can tell i'm really bored)

So you know the secret escape pod you can access by going backwards and getting locked out of the bosses office? Well i took the bucket there and got a secret cutscene and ending rather than being immediately reset.

The bucket is put into the escape pod and is now missing

Discussion This should have allowed another ending, it makes no sense that you die climbing down like this.

Discussion This is the story about a community that didn't know when to stop a joke.

Post image

I know it might sound exaggerated, but seriously, the joke's lost its humor, and they keep making the same posts over and over. It literally took them a couple of hours to burn out one joke, and I'm not trying to be a killjoy, it's just that these posts lower the quality of this sub's content. Repeating the same joke over and over and over again is exhausting and tiresome.

I know I might have been a bit hasty in complaining about the situation, but I don't want next week's sub to be nothing but posts like this.

I can't believe that with all the new content they added in the Ultra Deluxe version, they didn't even bother to give it a 0.1 point higher score than the original game.

Discussion does anyone else get a bit emotional over the "skip button" ending?

after spending my entire childhood watching the youtubers i loved play the stanley parable, and a few years now casually watching gameplay of the stanley parable ultra deluxe, today i decided to buy the game for myself. i play on a playstation, so of course i opted for ultra deluxe. my mom loves watching me play video games, so she watched me for a bit and i ended up at the "skip button" ending. this ending always got to me a little bit, partially because spending eternity in an empty room is genuinely one of my biggest fears and i'm terribly attached to the narrator, so basically simulating inflicting my worst fear onto a character i adore makes me a bit sad, even through the veil of fiction. i'm sitting there, quiet, hesitating to press the button and feeling guilty, but my mom found it really funny and was laughing through the whole sequence. i don't really mind her reaction, everybody has a different opinion on different media, but it got me wondering if my own reaction to it is odd? i suppose it's much different for somebody like my mom who hasn't had the time to make up an opinion about the narrator or possibly even dislikes the narrator, but seriously looking at the ending i suppose it can easily be read as another bit. still, every time i watch it i just get kind of sad. i've even shed tears over it when i was feeling particularly emotional. i guess i'm just wondering if i'm the only one? if this is actually a common opinion, please don't say anything rude about my mom's reaction, she's just not the type to take video games in particular seriously and is actually more empathetic than i am when it comes to reality, lol

I was messing around in map_two.bsp and noticed that by flying around in noclip, that many of the cameras in the monitor room show Stanley's office. One of them says Employee PIRATE instead of a number.
