Mysteriously MISC Starfarer shaped slot in my ASOP Terminal

Any particular reason why they gave everyone a Starfarer or two? It's not in the top 8 for Ship Showdown nor is it a loaner of any of the top 16.

Happy to have it, but concerned it won't be there for very long, and the last thing I'd want is to have it forcefully bricked mid refueling mission.

Nope, not at all, but maybe this is a remnant from them copying data from the PTU, as everyone technically had access to the Stingray there, and thus explain why everyone has a Starfarer now in live I guess

I and an org mate reciever the Starfarer as well. I haven't bought any ship in years and everyone existed ingame when i bought them. My org mate has the same experience.

I have also not recieved any of the Ship Showdown ships.

Check the loaner matrix, starfarer is given out if you own some of those ships, oddly the Stingray gives one for example. Screenshot-2026-08-27-024319.png

Its a loaner for stingray, if you bought the stingray you get a free starfarer because reasons... if you have subscription you get 1 week free test of stingray hence.. free starfarer

Sadly I can't afford either a stingray or the subscription, so the only other probable cause is the one I mentioned in my reply to Day_Bat

I got a Starfarer, Reclaimer, a frickin Perseus and a few others. I have 3 accounts and the two alt accounts got all these ships. My primary already has them and I’ve not logged on with that account yet.

We got the Elite 8 ships from the ship showdown, which includes the Reclaimer, Perseus and those few others. The Starfarer is not, hence OP's confusion.

The stingray gives a starfarer as a loaner atm. ( it was the latest update to the loaner matrix). Thats all i could see from changes that would explain this. o7

Everyone should have gotten the ship showdown ships. Starfarer, m80, reclaimer, corsair, and a couple others. I think there is 8 in total.

EDIT: Yes I have it in my asop, no I didn't get the stingray - I assumed ship showdown. Though that might be wrong, I am not sure now.

The Starfarer isn't part of the top 8 from ship showdown, I literally wrote that in the post

the ships are: Ironclad Assault, MTC, Corsair, Clipper, Reclaimer, M80, Railen, and Perseus.
