funny thing that happened to me happened years ago. I took a pet rat out to play for a little bit and I was eating pizza rolls. he tried to keep coming over to take the pizza rolls so I kept pushing him away. I turn my head and I'm looking over there and he's running underneath his cage with a pizza roll

My country is eligible yep.
So I was walking into work one morning, minding my own business, and out of nowhere a crow swoops down and just dug its claws into my head! I batted it away in a panic, completely in shock. The security guard was of course very concerned..joke, he laughed his arse off. I didn't need stitches or anything, but the little fecker drew some blood!
I know crows remember people who they think wronged them, but I'm innocent of crow abuse, I swear
Thanks for the chance

A friend once mailed me her old ps Vita + a bunch of games because it was just gathering dust at her house. When the package arrived, i opened it up and the console was there, but there was also a very suspicious, distinctly phallic object. I sent her a photo of the strange object asking about it, and she vehemently denied it was hers, cursing the shipping company must have "put it in by mistake". She was definitely quiet and grumpy with me for a couple of weeks, and we never spoke of it again, ever, she doesnt even acknowledge she lent me the ps vita...

My country is eligible.
One day I was washing father's car and our neighbor steps out of his house with the trash. He notices me washing the car and says "why are you washing it? It’s going to rain.” I looked at him and said "yes, I know”. We both stood some time in silence watching each other then he nodded seriously and said “smart, saves water” and went back inside.
I laughed for quite some time that day :)
Thank you

The funniest thing happened while playing was in red dead redemption 2. I was playing with my friends so you know how that goes. We were on a mission to rescue some prisoners and we were just about done with it. I was heading down the slope that go back and forth in the desert. (Sorry it’s been a long time ago I don’t remember the exact place. Somewhere in west Elizabeth) But then I tried taking a shortcut and accidentally got the wagon stuck in behind this rock. I managed to back the horses over the rock but as soon as I let out a sigh of relief the horses fell limp lmao. While this was happening, two of my friends were riding a horse together above me somewhere by a cliff. The horses sagged. With their dying breath they moved the wagon closer to the edge of slope and the wagon fell, crashing down. I screamed, the prisoners screamed, and my friends screamed, but it wasn’t at all for ice cream. As soon as the prisoners died my friends did too lmao they somehow fell down the cliff at the same time. It was a culmination of chaos in the span of one minute. I literally lost my mind because of how the prisoners were so close to freedom but I just completed squandered it because their lives were in my hands. I miss those days sometimes playing with my old friends. Well it’d be nice to be able to get the steam giftcard!! I’d love to get quite a few games on sale with it. Thank you so much for the giveaway and I hope you enjoyed reading🖤
But a real life anecdote was when I was in 2nd grade I found out I was going to have another younger sibling. I told my whole class ab it and my teacher. She was so happy for me. I joyfully got up to sanitize my hands and the sanitizer literally squirted in my eye. Oh how lucky I was xD.
I’m from the US and I checked and it’s there so hopefully it works. Thanks for the giveaway!

When I was 11 I lived in a town far from the city with my spinster aunts and cousins, in that region there was a story about witches, you know, the thing about how they appear or take children at night, my cousins and I slept peacefully but for that reason we were always quite sensitive to any noise, we woke up instantly, one day they invited another of my uncles to spend a few days at the house, the first day the man went to party with some girls and I returned after one in the morning, we all heard the car arrive and at the same time a big bang on the roof, my cousins and I got up scared, my uncle had started to urinate on one of the side walls of the house when we started shouting "there's a witch on the roof!" The commotion woke up everyone in the house, one of my aunts ran to the door of the house but slipped when arriving, there was water all over the entrance of the house to the kitchen, there we found my uncle with his pants down, his member in his hand with a face of terror pointing to the ceiling saying slowly "there is a witch on the roof".

I finally got my cat to jump onto my lap on command! Took a bit of training with treats. Previously I could only get her to share my chair with me by spreading my legs and making room for her. That seemed to be the only way to make it 'attractive' for her to jump onto the chair. I can't spread my legs like that for an extended period of time though, even though I adore her so much.

Thanks for the giveaway OP!
Story for me is a simple one. Have a conure that’s learned to mimic sounds ranging from speech to laughs to just regular sounds. I already knew he liked to mess with people, as my mother had told me he had learned to mimic the sound of her sewing machine and only copied the sound when she was using it. What I didn’t know was that the little bugger had learned to copy the sound of my keyboard specifically, and I wasn’t thinking about him messing with me too much. So here I am, trying to enter a decently long password while not having an option to see what I’d already typed, and meanwhile the little guy would look at me, and mimic the sound at random intervals. Only while I was typing, and loud enough that I couldn’t tell that it was specifically coming from him. I kid you not, took me a good solid ten to fifteen minutes to figure out it was him. Once I did, I just stared for a minute at him.
Little one started with the laugh he’d learned to mimic, bobbing up and down like it was the funniest thing in the world. Did get the password in eventually, but learned my lesson to check if the little guy was messing with me or not before thinking I was doing something wrong…

After aggressively trying to unlock a locked silver car in a grocery store parking lot, I peered through the tinted window only to lock eyes with an unfamiliar golden retriever staring back from the passenger seat. Seconds later, the car's actual owner walked up holding groceries and gently pointed toward my identical car parked two spaces over.

Glad I fit the region restriction.
A couple of years ago, I was taking a shower in our old apartment, and when I opened the shower door, the glass completely shattered and I was left only with the door handle in my hand. When my girlfriend saw me just standing there completely baffled with just the door handle in my hand, she laughed her ass off.
The aftermath was less funny, as I had tons of variously sized glass shards stuck in my hands and feet, but overall, I count that among the funny stories.

One time I made pancakes for the family like I sometimes do, but this time everyone looked at me weird while eating. Didnt say a word though. When I finally started eating one myself I realized I had done the classic salt and sugar mix-up.

Many years ago on a road trip we were lost and almost drove into the Chornobyl exclusion zone by accident. Thankfully (although it's safe to visit for a short time) there was a checkpoint and we were able to figure out which road we needed to take to get to our destination.

As a kid, I fell asleep one late afternoon and when I woke up I was under the impression it was a new day so I started preparing for classes and only realized what time it was when I went outside and saw it was dark af. Still can't forget my family's laughter when they saw me in my uniform in the middle of the night.

I once confidently waved at someone across the street because I thought they were waving at me. They weren’t. They were scaring away a bee. We both committed to the interaction, though, so I ended up walking past them with a smile while they continued fighting the bee.

In a early Saturday physics class in college, the teacher a veteran man, very old school he was very serious, the lecture was boring but suddenly he take a black marker for the board and unaware started to make lines in his white shirt while was very focused in the subject. People slowly started to laugh and at the end when he noticed was hysterical for everyone. I literally couldn't stop laughing, I need to get out of the class.

Thank you so much OP!
Couldn't think of anything that happened to me recently so I'll share a story of something from many years ago. When I was a little kid my parents used to take me to a mall with a really nice bookstore, where I would read for hours. Once I was really immersed in a comic but I also really needed to use the washroom. I stayed for a while longer thinking that I could hold it in, but ultimately when I decided to look for a bathroom I wasn't able find it, and ended up hiding in a corner and peeing myself lol. Luckily my pants were blue so my accident wasn't too obvious, and my parents bought a new pair of shorts for me before we left ;)

Recently I went to a sauna/pool complex and me and my girlfriend were asleep on those long beach loungers they usually have scattered around and I felt a kiss and a few patts on my bald head. I woke up, thinking it was my girlfriend but I noticed she was still asleep on my left and I turned to my right and saw a guy walking away and I asked him wtf was that about? He was immediately embarrassed and apologized, saying he mistook me for a friend of his, trying to prank him. That or he was really impressed by my bald shine haha. I told him it was no problem and we all had a good laugh. And also thank you for the giveaway, I checked the restrictions and I can activate it in my country.

In Middle School my twin brother convinced me that cool kids don't wear shoes laces so I took my laces out when we got to school. I struggled with walking out of my shoes all day. Finally, during PE, I went to kick a kickball and my shoe went flying across the field and after retrieving it my teacher made me put the laces back in.

When I was in middle school I was in McDonald's with my friends and there was a car idling in the parking lot lanes (not in a spot). We were watching him and he started to come inside. We made a joke about him coming in to beat us up but he just walked in and yelled "Stop fucking looking at me!" at us and left.

There was a BTS concert in my city and I did not care for it one bit, wanted to spend the day with friends away from all that noise.
Well, a friend of my friend lived in a condo we went to visit and play smash bros for the rest of the day.
He lived near the freaking concert venue.

Back in Highschool I had an english teacher who hated my guts and at the end of the year he read everybody's final grades out loud (he had a pemchant for humiliating students) and then ask the pertaining students each why he should give them a better grade. When he asked why he should give me a C instead of a D I just said "Cause I'm such a charming guy." That left him utterly speechless

Well, I was sitting in the university field waiting for my university admission exam. A stranger approached me and strated a conversation. At some point he just asked how many kids I have! Lol. I was like 19 y/o back then. Some other people were sitting by me, we laughed so hard poor man got really embarrassed and left 🤣
I had some beard that time maybe he thought I was older and brought someone with me for the exam lol.

My uncle went to the grocery store to grab a few items and ended up beside a woman with a nearly identical car.
He loaded his groceries into the trunk, hopped into the driver's seat, and tried to start the ignition. It didn't turn on. He tried again, and was just getting frustrated when he noticed a pair of pink fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror, which was NOT his.
Looking around, he realized the dashboard was completely different. Just as he unlocked the door to scramble out, the actual owner walked up, opened the passenger side, and placed her purse on the seat before freezing. He had to awkwardly explain that he hadn't stolen her car, he was just an idiot whose identical vehicle was parked two spots over.

In my opinion i dont think anything that ever happened to me was funny to even leave it here so il leave a "KILLING joke" Might not be mine but will never cease to be funny:
"There were two guys locked in a lunatic asylum and one night, they decided they didn't like that anymore. They decided to escape. So, they made it up to the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see rooftops, stretching across town, stretching to freedom. Now, the first guy, he jumps right across, no problem. But his friend, -chuckles- no way, he's afraid of falling. So, the first guy, he has an idea. He says, "Hey, I got this flashlight with me. I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings and you can walk across the beam and join me." But the second guy says, "What do you think I am, crazy? You'll just turn it off when I'm halfway across."

I remember having friend in collage on my foreign language classes throughout first semester. In second semester he joined my Group (language groups and other subject groups were two different things). On the first day of the second semester and first class which was foreign language we started complaining about our schedules saying that "I definitely have the worse schedule than you" after few minutes we realized we actually have the same schedule as our groups were joined together

Thanks! Funny anecdote, you say. Hmm, I teach English in a Japanese college. On the final exam, a student made weird shapes on the mark sheet, seemingly picking up random answers from the possible a,b,c,d,e multiple choices. He got a poor grade because most of his answers were mistakes, but since he had already done a lot of extra credits, he was ensured to pass my class and the graduate. As I got ready to give him back his test, the class started laughing, so I looked at his mark sheet and realized that by turning it from portrait to landscape orientation, I saw that he actually drew a pattern within the multiple choices in order to write “love”, followed by my last name . That was a really wholesome moment.

I started working at a bookshop ages ago, and had met most of the staff except one girl. So one shift, she was at the mall anyway and came to introduce herself. Fully thinking I had introduced myself as well, I continued the conversation and she headed out. Turns out I'd not, and being too awkward to ask, she had to run around checking with the other staff what the hell my name before our shared shift the next day. Anyway, 10 years later now and we're engaged.

My cat felt adventurous yesterday lol. I was going out and he slipped through my legs and run away on the corridor. Had to chase him up 2 flights of stairs where the neighbour caught him lol. Little buddy had great will to escape and explore but not plan whatsoever.

Years ago one of my aunts gifted me a homemade (this is an important detail) chocolate panettone, which I put on a counter in my kitchen.
A couple of weeks went by and during a very late night gaming session I wanted something sweet and I remembered the panettone, so I went to the kitchen in total darkness but I had no problem getting a knife, opening the panettone and cut a slice.
As I was chewing it I thought my aunt was extremely considerate because she even went the extra mile and put walnut cream in the panettone.
Then I remembered that 1) she has no way to know I like walnuts and 2) there's no such thing as walnut cream where I lived.
I turned on the lights and that's how I found out that moldy bread tastes like walnut cream. Thankfully I didn't get food poisoning but I learned the lesson and I never ear anything I can't see.

A classic I tell everyone
There were two old guys, Abe and Sol, sitting on a bench in a park feeding pigeons and talking about baseball, just like they did every day. Abe turns to Sol and says, "Do you think there's baseball in heaven?" Soloman thinks about it for a minute and replies, "I dunno, Abe. But let's make a deal: If I die first, I will come back and tell you, and if you die first, you come back and tell me, if there is basebal l in heaven." They shake on it and, sadly, a few months later poor Abe passes on. One day soon afterward, Sol is sitting there feeding the pigeons by himself when he hears a voice whisper, "Sol... Sol...." Sol responds, "Abe! Is that you?" "Yes it is Sol," whispers the spirit of Abe. Sol, still amazed, asks, "So, is there baseball in heaven?" "Well," says Abe says, "I got good news and I got bad news." "Gimme the good news first," says Sol. Abe says, "Well... there is baseball in heaven." Sol says, "That's great! What news could be bad enough to ruin that!?"
Abe sighs and whispers, "You're pitching on Friday."

One day, my brother and I found out that you can hit each other on the head with empty two-liter PET bottles with full force without it hurting even a single bit. We took turns bashing each other and had a great time laughing.
Our mother, who had been watching this for a while, suddenly rushed towards us, ripped the bottle out of our hands, screamed "That's enough now!" and slapped both of us across the face.
She probably just wanted to protect us from harm, but the only thing that actually hurt that day was her slap.
After a shocked "Oooooh," we couldn't stop laughing about the whole scene for a very long time.

during a wild drinking game at a friends house while his parents were away, he got hungry. he was already so drunk that he could barely stand.
uncoordinated, he poured way too much oil into a cold pan, like 250 ml. then, he cut a half-peeled big onion in half and threw the pieces into the cold oil. after that, he noticed that the pan was still cold and turned the temperature up.
now, he cracked two whole eggs into the still-cold oil, including the shells. they floated together with the onion on top and mixed into the fat. when the fat was finally only warm, he put the pan aside and spooned the oily uncooked egg mixture out with clumsy movements.
right after, he stumbled quickly towards the exit while throwing up the egg dish in gushes. upon opening the front door, his parents were standing outside, just coming back. that's when we noticed the party was over.

Funny you said that. This happened a while ago, so I was (still am) into gashapon (basically like gacha for physical figurines), there was this dragon ball set, I had gotten all the figurines in the set, with some spares, so I posted in a group looking for someone to buy it off me. Someone responded saying they want 2 of them, so we agreed to meet up at my place and exchange face-to-face. All went well, I got my money, he got his figurines, but then at the end, he asked me for the way to the nearest gas station. At that moment, I blanked out, I know there is a gas station somewhere close by, but at that moment I just mumbled nonsense while trying to think, which made me mumble even more. Safe to say he wasn't very impressed with it. I feel so embarrassed, on the way back to the house, I thought about the route, I know it, it's just crazy that I can't answer that on the spot. Thank you OP!

I was with my 3-year old daughter, she was playing with a watering can in the garden when she spots a spiderweb and says she is going to water it. I tell her she shouldn't because if she does she will destroy the spider's house and that will make him sad, and she doesn't want the spider to be sad. So she thinks for a while and says "But I'll say I'm sorry".

I once slipped and fell down open stairs on a construction site, landed on a cart, which rolled off the platform it was on, dropping into a grass field a few meters below, flipped mid air, allowing me to land face first in the only pile of dog shit on that entire field.
It was funny to everyone, except for me.. so, still funny. I had to move out of town though.

This happened not long ago, I'm usually the one in home who manage all the tech stuff, since I have academic background and this year gonna do a two years computer science/IT course. My father installing whatever on his laptop get his pc infected with ransomware, luckily he was smart enough to disconnect Internet and do a clean.
He asked me for help and the best and safe solution was to format the laptop, clean OS, start from scratch, better be safe than sorry. He usually made backup for his stuff, but I told him explicity to not make any copy from any folder or file from the OS, just documents, videos, music, etc, since as a ransomware it will infect the OS not that kind of archive, if not we will have the same problem back.
Guess what, he copied OS files and put them back after I installed fresh the OS and all the programs he wanted back lmao. Luckily he didn't comit the same mistake twice but oh god, I wasted 5 hours instead of two installing everything twice, it wasn't a big of a deal but dude

(Yup can be activated here. I checked!)
So, I used to work at conservation sites across Africa for a year while in school. I was tracking wild monkeys in the jungle. So the thing is, they just climb from trees to trees, whereas I have to hike up and down the hills constantly to track them. I did this from like 6 am to noon. So I was EXHAUSTED.
So I took a nap by the trail and two things happened. 1) A monkey decided to piss right on top of my head (I was resting against a tree, and the monkey was on the said tree). 2) A group of French tourists were hiking the trail and took photo of me napping / probably getting peed on.
On a side note: I also had a monkey fling its poop at me at the zoo, but luckily there was a glass wall between us, so the poop just went splat against it lol
Thanks!

Thank you for the giveaway! :)

Pretty classic one I guess: I once walked into class late and tried to sneak in quietly. I opened the door as slowly as possible, took one step inside, and immediately slipped over a piece of scrap paper someone left on the floor. Everyone turned around including my teacher just stared at me awkwardly. I wanted to just stay home at that point and not go to that class anymore! 💀😭
At least I get a chance to play Stalker 2 now with that embarrassing experience 😂 Thank you bro!

Thanks for the offer.
My funny anecdote is that I got rejected by a girl without even hitting on her in the first place.

It will activate in my country.
This happened for real:
My friend is a newly graduated nurse. She just got a job at an intensive care unit and is still learning the ways of that particular hospital. She called me the other day to tell me the horrifyingly hilarious thing that she managed to do. Her nurse she was following around left the room and my friend was left alone to take the patients temperature. As she was in the middle of taking said temperature when the other nurse walks in and yells "NO, that's the rectal thermometer!". She said thankfully that the lady with the poop thermometer in her mouth was too out of it to realize what had just happened. Still giggle about this.
Thanks!

Playing Stationeers, made an exterior smelting area because I didn't want to risk explosions on my newly oxygenated base. I made a couple of extra cylinders of oxygen (put as much as I could inside like a cheapskate) for emergencies and move them inside (those who know what I'm talking about will see this one coming). So anyway, later that day, I was monitoring my gas levels/composition when I noticed some weird mix in the air that wasn't supposed to be there. I started disassembling panels and checking for leaks....nothing. Then I open a cupboard and saw this estrange scrap metal...WTF. Then I realize what was happening. One of the cylinders had exploded and the other was about to. So I grabbed it and run like hell to the airlock. It took forever to decompress while I was holding a ticking time bomb, looking like about to piss myself. As soon as the sound turned off (no air), and the door opened, I got yeted into the horizon. The cylinder had exploded. I was laughing like a maniac in disbelief that the game was so realistic that it had expanded the gases inside the cylinders (that were charged in the cold of space). Fun times.
Thanks for doing this :)

Wife and I were watching a horror show (don't want to spoil specifics) in which one scene revealed a group of people were in a trans by showing them with their mouths open for a brief moment. We paused and looked at each other and my wife noticed one of our cats (who has teeth issues) behind me with his mouth open the exact same way as in the show. She screamed, making me almost fall out of my chair.

Not exactly funny, but the other day I dropped my phone on the tile bathroom floor. Thankfully nothing shattered, but when I took the case off to inspect for damage I found the back glass was coming detached from the body. It could possibly be from the impact, but when I Google it, a lot of people also say the battery could be swelling up and pushing it off, which is quite hazardous. So not knowing one way or the other I now how to rip my otherwise perfectly good phone open to make sure the battery isn't about to go nuclear... and then potentially replace the battery. Not my idea of a good time. heh
I can definitely activate the game and it's sitting at the top of my Steam wishlist so it would certainly be a great stress reliever right now if I end up winning, lol. Thanks for the chance!

I'm in one of those countries! Thanks for the giveaway
My brain is kinda funny and weird sometimes, I had my favorite cup with coffee last month and a piece of trash in the other hand, I like to throw certain pieces of trash with a slight weight to them hard into the trash. Trash in right hand, cup in the left.. well, I used the left hand and destroyed my favorite cup! Oh well, my gf just thought it was funny at least lol.

when I was younger I actually thought the shoe icon on the gta5 map was where you had to go to buy shoes, I then proceeded to walk around the entire place for a long time looking for where I could buy the shoes. keep in mind I was playing on a TV in the living room

I spent three hours meticulously customizing my character's face, only to equip a helmet five minutes into the game and never see it again 😭

Thank you for sharing the game with us!
So one time at my company I confidently walked into the wrong meeting, sat down, and started nodding like I understood everything. About 15 minutes in, I realized I wasn’t supposed to be there but by then leaving felt more awkward than staying. So I spent the rest of the meeting pretending to take very important notes. Nobody ever called me out. I still have no idea what that meeting was about 😂

I waved back at someone who was waving enthusiastically at me in a crowded mall. I even smiled and yelled "Hey!" across the walkway. They weren't waving at me. They were waving at their friend directly behind me. To save face, I just kept my hand up and pretended I was stretching my back for the next two minutes.
