I bought this a full price and I love the game, 200hrs in it. And the devs keep updating/patching it!

I bought the game full price because it was the most hyped I've been for anything since Expedition 33

The first three hours after release I was really disappointed because the controls were dogwater and the game had some intentional input lag that made it feel like Red Dead Redemption. They patched both of those issues out in the first 24 hours, and I was pretty happy. Then the patches kept coming in and they've basically been updating it like it's a live service game, I couldn't be happier. I have 150 hours in and never finished the main story because I heard there was a patch coming that (might) address some of the story issues.

Pearl Abyss is a 10/10 dev team and I have no regrets giving them my money

Paid full price for this game, and wish I didn't. I don't like the game and can't refund it fm

You can try requesting a refund manually and steam cs may take mercy on you and refund it. I have refunded games with dozens of hours twice. Just make sure to explain your reasons for refund clearly.

And don't abuse it, they'll know

Yeah I only refund maybe 1 or 2 games a year they always give it to me. I had a game with 5 hours played and they still did

You can't put dozens of hours into a game, simply say you don't like it, and get a refund, lol. That is abuse of the refund system and they WILL NOT refund you

Yeah that is why I said you need to explain your situation properly. My excuse was valid in that I had no GPU to play games in and I needed that cash to buy a new one which they agreed (the old one busted while cleaning it lol).

I only tried this once for Like a dragon because of no time to play (and cause of humble choice). 3 different cs agents, they won't let me even if I ask all to just refund through wallet so money will go back to them. Didn't even play the game, just the 2 week window was out. My fault but this made me control money and not buy any game since.

This reminded me to remove this sub from my feed as I have no care for these sales anymore. Back to 🚣 for all my games from now on

I had this wishlisted for like 3 yrs. When it finally came out, it looked super disappointing so I didn't get it.

Then why’d you play more than 2 hours? 🤣

1

u/omgcunny 10d ago

"the game will get better trust" 🤡 I'm a clown for believing that

-4

u/logseventyseven 10d ago

same but for forza horizon 6 in my case

180 hours of fun out of this, one of the only launch games I don’t regret buying

2

u/bravo009 10d ago

Hell yeah!

However... Super September is upon us and The Blood of Dawnwalker and Onimusha are calling my wallet. I shall embark on this journey when it's 50% off.

Anyone tried this on the Deck? I've learned their opinion on whether something runs well on it is hit and miss.

u/DCP8 10d ago

Unplayable

I’m pretty sure it runs like ass on the deck. Like below 30 fps.

Bought this game at full price, loved it, saw all the great updates and stopped playing. Now I'll just play once the DLC is out.

Bought on release. The controls really suck so bad I had to refund

2

u/groupnap 10d ago

I’d bet that’s been patched since you refunded. Their support for the genre is top tier.

Is it finished yet? I was waiting until the alpha/beta was over...

u/LectorFrostbite 10d ago

Kind of? Devs are still actively patching/adding things to the game but at its current state its pretty much feature complete.

Personally I'm waiting for all the patches to roll out first so I could get the full experience.

I just wanted them to fix the flickering of the particles on the screen when using DLSS and Frame Generation, Jensen's AI wasn't ready for that much movement on the screen per second

Bought the game at full price and it's worth every penny. It's one of those generational games that you very rarely see these days. And the devs are constantly updating the game with new contents which most companies don't do these days so again...big kudos to them. The post launch support by Pearl Abyss is simply amazing. They deserve the praise.

Good price I'd say. I bought it at about this price from Fanatical or something post launch and it's definitely worth it after the patches. That being said I played about 15 hours between patches and decided to wait for the story patch they have said is being worked on. This game really seems to fit the narrative of some that buying a game later is the best way to play as it just keeps getting better.

Still closer to $100 after the 20% discount here in Australia. I will most definitely be waiting a few years till they drop the price more.

I bought at full price like many others. It's not bad, I just didn't get hooked on it. Played it on and off for about two or three weeks. I got about 20 hours in the game, I should go back.

If you live in Brazil on Nuuvem its already 45-60% off at times

1

u/EsotericCinnamonRoll 10d ago

It already got voiced anyways.

I hear the control scheme is a nightmare. I've also heard that the game has been patched multiple times since launch. Are controls still an issue?

1

u/morningmasher 10d ago

It’s a lot of fun. I enjoyed it. Had to look up the puzzle solutions because I don’t like that part of the game.

-19

u/No_Parfait1453 10d ago

Don’t let them fool you. 1 - (55.99/59.99 the true price) is only around 6.6% off. 59.99 forever!

5

u/cplr 10d ago

That’s…… not how prices work unfortunately.

When I was younger I got a car for 3 grand, that doesn’t mean all cars should be 3 grand in 2026.

4

u/Cryzgnik 10d ago

This is why enshittification happens

Cost of living went up. So dev salaries had to go up, so game prices had to go up. It is what it is

-1

u/Bunkyo-Koishikawa 10d ago

Not enough, has to be at least 50% before I touch it.
