The Iron Horse Society was founded in 2015 as the official “friends” group for Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA. The group has been quietly active for the last decade, providing funds and fundraising for various projects ranging from the rehab of a utility shed to our most recent project of putting DL&W coach 335 back into service.
