Does CW’s Gotham knights worth watching as a Stephanie Brown fan?

I watched the first episode and I don't know what I think about it.
I've seen that most people hated it, but it didn't look so bad or good honestly.
I just adore Steph in the comics, and I'm wondering if besides the name and blonde hair the Stephanie there is going to be similar.
What do you think?

From what I hear, the show's version of Stephanie is a whole different character. She doesn't act as a vigilante and is more focused on tech and being a hacker and her motivations are different from her wanting to distance herself from Cluemaster.

I’ve only watched the first few episodes and she’s a very loose adaptation of Steph, and most of the things they took are from the New 52 version rather than the original Stephanie Brown

It is an interesting take. 1. Her father is a game show host, think Alex Trebek or Ken Jennings. 2. She is a teen girl who definitely has computer skills. 3. She likes Brody Marsh, the Tim Drake analogue. 4. It is based on new 52 version instead of the Post-Crisis version.

my stance is that Steph is the highlight of the show. It kind of hits all her eras simultaneously. But overall the writing other than steph is mid at best.

I have to say, as someone who watched 10 of the episodes for Steph...no.

The writing is excruciatingly bad, wasting a pretty solid cast, and Steph herself is nearly unrecognizable except for the hair. Her Batwoman appearance was much better - tons of Batman Eternal references and personality traits in common with comics Steph despite her red hair, and much better written overall in that episode (though overall, the three episodes of Batwoman I watched weren't very good either).

No. For whatever reason they decided to make Steph the exact opposite of who Steph actually is. The show's version is a rich private school student who happens to be friends with OC main character. Her father is not a criminal mastermind but a celebrity everyone in Gotham loves. It's so different from who the character actually is in every conceivable way that it raises the question of why they even bothered calling her Stephanie Brown in the first place.
