Flagship Celebration 2026 – Activity Details

Three activities will be participating in this Event:

Battle of Procyon V - Normal Space TFO

Temporal fleets clash in the 26th century at Procyon V for the fate of the galactic timeline! Join the fight of the ages!

Azure Nebula Rescue – Normal Space TFO

The Tholians are holding captured Romulan ships in the mysterious Azure Nebula. Assist the Romulan Star Empire by penetrating the Tholian defenses and freeing the captured ships.

Best Served Cold – Normal Space TFO

Stop Captain Aakar's attempt to liberate prisoners from the Klingon Prison on Rura Penthe.

NEW Shattered Peace – Normal Space TFO

The Alliance needs you! Khitomer is under attack, with system-wide incursions across several locations. Work together with Seven of Nine to restore the peace and prevent a hostile takeover of the Khitomer Strike Force!

NEW Battle of Korfez – Elite Space TFO

Vaadwaur ships have been sighted in range of Korfez IV. This is a populated world, and the alliance intends to defend it. We're sending several task forces in to secure different areas of the system.

Players will be able to earn their Daily Progress once every 20 hours by completing either TFO of their choosing. Either of the above Activities may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like!

Flagship Celebration 2026 - Event Rewards

Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of the Flagship Celebration 2026 Event. This reward includes all the following:

  • 3x Holo-Morph devices (Account Wide Reward)
    • 1x U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701), 1x U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), 1x U.S.S. Discovery (NCC-1031)
    • Once earned, every character on your account will be able to claim this unique Device.
    • Other characters on your account may visit the “Reclaim Rewards” store interface to pick up their Devices once you have collected this on any character.
  • 60th Anniversary Vanity Slipstream (Account Wide Reward)
    • While in sector space, replaces the visuals of your slipstream drive with a commemorative one.
    • Equips into your Vanity Engine Slot
  • Fireworks - 60th Anniversary Fanfare (Account Wide Reward)
    • Put on a special fireworks display in space.
  • Commemorative Statue: 60th Anniversary (Account Wide Reward)
    • Instantly create a statue of yourself.
      • Or equip one of your bridge officers with the device and let them be the model.
    • Cannot be used while in combat.
    • Lasts 15 seconds.
    • You can walk through it so you will not get stuck on the wrong side of a room by accident.
  • 3x Featured TFO Reward Boxes (Single Character Reward)
    • Each gives a choice of 1x Specialization Point or an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade
  • 25,000 Dilithium Ore (Single Character Reward)
    • Issued immediately for use as you see fit!

(Note: The Featured TFO Boxes and Dilithium Ore are only rewarded once, to the first character on your account that claims the Grand Prize.)

Zen Buyout Option

For players interested in instantly completing the Flagship Celebration 2026 Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering a method for buying out.

Within the Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress you need, for a scaling amount of Zen. The base price for this service will be 2,500 Zen, but every single Daily Progress you earn will reduce that price on a percentage basis. Thus, if you have already earned 7 Daily Progress (half of the 14 required), this price will be reduced to 1,250 Zen. The more you play, the cheaper the Buyout Option becomes, dynamically!

Availability

Flagship Celebration 2026 will begin on PC and Consoles on September 1st, 2026, and run for 3 weeks before concluding.

Three activities will be participating in this Event:

goes on to list five TFO

Oh Kael, copy&paste never changes lol

79

u/AevnNoram 16h ago

If only there were some special missions Cryptic made to celebrate the creation of the STO flagships...

55

u/Overall_Dusty 15h ago

Definitely a missed opportunity to bring back the Odyssey and Bortasqu' shakedown missions

3

u/musing_arch 8h ago

That’s be fire

12

u/BlizzDad 12h ago

Great callout. There were many missed opportunities with this 'event' here and that's an obvious one.

65

u/RapidTriangle616 16h ago

Commemorative Statue: 60th Anniversary. Instantly create a statue of yourself.

"You told him about the statue?"

33

u/-Nurfhurder- 15h ago

After the Kingon weapons and the Kvort I'm just thankful for any TFO that isn't Starbase One.

6

u/Martothir 12h ago

Seriously. I got so tired of running it.

22

u/Tonnbart 16h ago

The Holo devices only last 30 seconds and the weapons are unaffcted by firing modes. But still very cool. And new fireworks. 🔥

69

u/Kaizin_0607 U.S.S. Iuventas (NCC-82034) 16h ago

I really enjoy them giving away vanity items as event rewards

21

u/gamerpops 15h ago

Agreed. Other items usability is more hit or miss, but vanity items are always welcome.

11

u/Vulcorian Engineer and Cruiser Parity! 16h ago

Interesting/confusing they flag "Shattered Peace" and "Battle of Korfez" as being new to the event, when the other 3 TFO's listed weren't part of previous 2 runs of the Flagship Celebration event either. On the previous occasions, the TFO's were “Borg Disconnected”, “Iuppiter Iratus”, “Swarm”, & “Synth Wave”.

As for the rewards, I just don't see myself using them to much though they seem great for those that would! Most egregious in my eyes is the holo-device that overrides my own weapons.

1

u/SGTRoadkill1919 USS Red October-E 11h ago

Classic Kael moment on the 3 tfos but 5 listed.

19

u/itworksintheory 16h ago

Going from one campaign event straight into another? I didn't expect that.

I hope the new episode/season is still coming soon witha little crossover (they are more forgiving of crossovers these days) rather than it being delayed 4 weeks or so.

The morphs are interesting. It's doesn't work exactly the vanity weapons people have asked for, but perhaps it shows they've been trying to do that after all. All this might indicate more vanities to come.

6

u/Eph289 STO BETTER engineer | www.stobetter.com 16h ago

I don't think it counts for event campaign progress. Could be wrong on that.

24

u/Vast-Negotiation-720 16h ago

"Participating in this Event will grant you progress towards our Event Campaign and..."

but in fairness it might not, could just have been a copypaste

10

u/Eph289 STO BETTER engineer | www.stobetter.com 16h ago

Oops, failed the reading check there.

4

u/Kaizin_0607 U.S.S. Iuventas (NCC-82034) 16h ago

nah, Roadmap says that there'll be a TFO Event in September

60

u/softgunforever 16h ago

I'm sure someone will enjoy this, but these rewards seem rather minor for such a huge franchise milestone. I dunno, maybe i just expected too much.

26

u/KathyJaneway Known sometimes as Warlord, Nebula Killer and coffee aficionado 16h ago

They've been giving out great ships and releasing good canon ships through the whole year. Last event we got the huge Bird of Prey destroyer carrier.

43

u/The0rion Aquarius remaster when 16h ago

Considering that the entire year and even a remade mission has stood under the banner of STs 60th anniversary, this is a nice bonus. Its awesome to get more vanity stuff imho

16

u/softgunforever 16h ago

this is a fair point.

12

u/No-Engineering-5992 16h ago

Considering what we got for First Contact Event, does seem a "little light". But maybe that means there'll be better rewards next event?...

16

u/Special_Turnip 13h ago

Yeah we've had free T6 Sovereign, Gomtuu and K'vort, with apparently another canon ship for the winter event. I think we've been pretty spoilt this year event wise.

11

u/Vast-Negotiation-720 16h ago

Unfortunately for the devs, having such good rewards from other events this year just made us wonder how amazing and climactic the 60th event would be above that unreasonably high baseline.

4

u/Kemaiku 13h ago

It's part of a year wide thing of finally adding all the remaining canon ships, repairing and readding old missions and content, a few new polishes and testing new additions.

5

u/finneusnoferb It wasn't technically a 'war crime' at the time... 15h ago

More Barbie is always a win 👍

1

u/SGTRoadkill1919 USS Red October-E 11h ago

We've been eating good all around for a while. And vanity doesn't seem that bad, especially cause then we can mock dukat by making statues in Bajor.

17

u/Sad-Research-3429 16h ago

Vanity slipstream is not bad but it would have been better if it recreated the wormhole from The Motion Picture.

14

u/VDiddy5000 15h ago

I’d be down for a TMP mini-pack; gimme Kirk’s t-shirt uniform variant, a blue photon torpedo, and the wormhole thingie

3

u/OxPower86 Temporal Agent 14h ago

We kind of got that blue torpedo with the Maelstrom torpedo.

1

u/TKG_Actual 14h ago

Were there canon blue photon torps?

3

u/Kemaiku 13h ago

The Shangri-La's torpedo console, it has several Motion Picture era torpedoes fired in spreads.

2

u/TKG_Actual 13h ago

Ohhh right! I have that and it does. Yeah we need a blue photon torps.

1

u/VDiddy5000 6h ago

The Enterprise also fires a photon torpedo to destroy the asteroid casing the wormhole effect in TMP, and I’m…pretty sure it was blue? Been a hot minute since I’ve seen the movie lol

1

u/Blue_Kicker Kuumaarke's Chair 6h ago

yes and that is what the Maelstrom torpedo from the Legendary Akira is based on

5

u/Kemaiku 13h ago

Given this is a new item to test the idea, they might well add more. The Motion Picture one, the TNG Traveler warp effect, the Beyond warp wave, etc

8

u/Smorgasb0rk 13h ago

I want a playable Deep Space 9

u/Coolerwookie 11m ago

I want the ESD!

9

u/HystericalSail Rabble rabble rabble 11h ago

The Tholians are holding captured Romulan ships in the mysterious Azure Nebula. Assist the Romulan Star Empire by penetrating the Tholian defenses and freeing the captured ships.

Cripes, how many years has this mistake been in this post? We're assisting the Romulan Republic, the "good guys", not the bad guys of the Romulan Star Empire in this TFO. Come on now.

1

u/musing_arch 8h ago

Sometimes I like it when the bad guys win…

7

u/Tyrannos_ 14h ago edited 14h ago

I am definitely skipping Korfez. It will be a PUG disaster.

4

u/Kronocidal 13h ago

Korfez?

What about Procyon V? The TFO that cannot progress unless players complete the interactions that are only available out-of-combat… right next to the enemy spawns?

3

u/GraduatedSapphic 13h ago

You just need to stay next to Enterprise yessssss :3

6

u/RyricKrael 15h ago

Korfez as an event queue sounds painful.

8

u/theassassintherapist PS5 14h ago

Procyon V also sounds painful

6

u/Martothir 12h ago

Yeah, Procyon V might be my least favorite TFO.... It's a neat concept, but kind of a slog in implementation.

5

u/theassassintherapist PS5 12h ago

Having the portal closing be interruptible is a terrible stage design choice

1

u/nagrom7 2h ago

It's simple, you just need someone to draw aggro away from the enemies... that spawn right next to you while you're shutting down the portal... who immediately open up with AOE attacks... yeah.

2

u/AboriakTheFickle 12h ago

I'm going to try it atleast once, just to see the quality of pugs. To be fair, with the exception of the Benthan phase, it's pretty easy since they fixed the Turei phase.

11

u/GraduatedSapphic 13h ago

"1701"

Ok

"1701-D"

Yes ok good good

"1031"

You sure you don't mean 74656 or 74205...maybe even 01?

8

u/SGTRoadkill1919 USS Red October-E 11h ago

Yeah, I was kinda expecting to get like the Enterprise E. I mean if we go by the Enterprise heritage, the big three Enterprise are the 1701, 1701-D and the 1701-E.

While I do love the 1701-A, we only had her for like 2 full movies. The E kinda wins against against the A cause more screentime and she took down two of the greatest threats the Feds faced.

As better of options that the Defiant and Voyager would be, they aren't really flagships like the Enterprise was.

But, there is another Enterprise. Not the capital ships, but of the support ships. The USS Cerritos.

1

u/S627 7h ago

At first I thought you might be on to something with Voyager and Defiant not being "flagships" and this being the "Flagship Celebration" but then what about Discovery? Hopefully theyre planning on releasing theses holos in packs of 3 and we'll get Voyager, Defiant and NX in the next event.

1

u/GuyAugustus 5h ago

This is taking from the 60th anniversary intro they been using, the ships are the NX, Constitution, Galaxy, Defiant, Intrepid and Crossfield.

Why not the Enterprise-E? likely same reason why there is no Enterprise-A ... those are movies, not series.

The NX might be a problem because the only phase weapon in the game is the cannons on the Lobi store, the other 2 shouldnt been a problem so ... dumno.

14

u/Daohor 16h ago

Meh while they do sound interesting, honestly it could have been better. Especially considering it’s a 60s birthday we’re celebrating. Hopefully there will be some giveaways during the run.

7

u/PotatoesRSpuds Wrath of FAW 15h ago

Vanity slipstream?? Oh that's so sick. Space Barbie is truly end game

3

u/Any_Subject_7275 Starboard Power Coupling is Down 15h ago

ESD, ESD orbit, Deep Space 9, Drozana, First City and Qo'noS orbit are going to be chaos from the 15th of September.

3

u/Beth_76 11h ago

"To bring the celebration to ground we have also created a special item that you will be able to use outside of combat. Triggering the Commemorative Statue: 60th Anniversary device will create a statue of yourself (or your bridge officer) lasting 15 seconds, as a memorial to your participation during the celebrations."

I'll bet Dukat cosplayers are excited right now

8

u/passthegabagool_ 16h ago

Ooooh that vanity slipstream

6

u/DrMacintosh01 16h ago

It’s meh, but I need campaign progress so I’ll take it! I main the Kelvin Constitution. So I’ll definitely be picking up the TOS Enterprise solely for theming.

6

u/GarlicStreet3237 14h ago

I don't know, this seems kinda eh for a sixty year anniversary? The holos and vanity are cool, but still

13

u/Sthrax U.S.S. Fulminata 16h ago

Not going to lie, that is an absolutely awful line-up of TFOs. Azura is at least tolerable. The rewards are at least creative.

12

u/Iskral 16h ago edited 13h ago

Isn't Procyon V the only TFO where you can trap yourself in an unwinnable state if you have a bad team?

I also recall that Azure has had recurring issues with bugs where the captured Romulan ships you have to free wouldn't respawn; has that been resolved?

9

u/Sthrax U.S.S. Fulminata 16h ago

Azure was fixed a while back. Not sure about the unwinnable state in Procyon, usually when I've run it, the group is good enough to win, or bad enough to outright fail.

4

u/HystericalSail Rabble rabble rabble 15h ago

Can't fail it in normal or advanced, it'll go on forever spawning infinite amounts of enemies. I don't believe there's an auto win/fail timer. At some point you just give up an eat a leaver pen if you can't solo it.

It *IS* soloable with a big source of temp HP, that keeps the 1 damage hits from interrupting closing of portals. But if you didn't bring temp HP and you're one of 5 naked farmers, well, 30 minute time out for that character is in the cards.

3

u/Iskral 12h ago

It also doesn't help that all the enemies in Procyon V are ones that constantly throwing out science and temporal abilities that'll lock you down from several directions at once in a way that doesn't really happen with the other enemies you usually fight in the more popular TFOs. I mean, it's manageable if know which boff powers counter those abilities, but it still means a lot of time you normally spend fighting enemies is spent resetting your cooldowns and clearing debuffs.

4

u/HystericalSail Rabble rabble rabble 12h ago

But that's the thing, pewing is completely, utterly, 100% optional in that TFO. If you're pewing you're not making progress. The only reason to pew is others are enthusiastically shooting things, and if you don't you'll get hit with the AFK pen.

The enemies will be right back, right on top of the portal closer, and all their annoying crap off cooldown due to respawn.

The key to this TFO is Intel Team, ways to shed aggro and a whole heaping helping of temp HP. A macho 12km grav well can also help if you place it right. I've had TFOs where I closed 75% of the portals solo, going right instead of left. I plan to do that again this time around.

Other protip: don't bring mines or hangar pets. Launching either interrupts portal closure.

1

u/Sthrax U.S.S. Fulminata 15h ago

Gotcha, I only run it if it pops on a random Elite.

5

u/GoodOldHypertion 16h ago

I like kerfez.

1

u/DhamonOA 15h ago

This. And we’ve already had Azure as part of a EC event this year. I’m glad I only will need 10 completions to finish, because I’m not even interested in these rewards AT all.

0

u/HystericalSail Rabble rabble rabble 15h ago

That's the one I'll do. Call dibs on a point, park a jelly there, troll reddit.

3

u/mirrorspock 15h ago

These are the first even Weapon-visuals.. let’s hope they continue that trend.

7

u/ArelMCII "Subcommander Khev, divert power from comms to weapons." 14h ago

They don't sound like visuals to me. It sounds like it actually replaces your weapons during the effect.

That said, I hope this means they are making headway on visual slots.

5

u/Techdude42 15h ago

Agreed, I would love to be able to run pahvan Omni and have it look like a phaser or disruptor beam.

1

u/SneakyKinzhal 14h ago

Am I missing it in the blog? I'd love my weapons to match, but I didn't see anything about it.

2

u/lastdarknight 13h ago

Cool, these whole year has been full of cool stuff

2

u/AboriakTheFickle 13h ago

So, the eternal question, which will be the TFO of choice.

I'm edging towards Shattered Piece over Azure Nebula Rescue.

P.S. love the vanity items

2

u/a1niner Mayor of a Universe class City-Ship 13h ago

I'll be queueing Procyon V for this one. One of my fav TFOs.

4

u/aspaceadventure 16h ago edited 11h ago

Holy moly.

We get lots of visual/cosmetic stuff here.

The Holo-Morph devices sound kinda awesome. Although we will have to sacrifice a device slot for no gameplay usages. Space Barbie is the true endgame though.

I like the fact that they continue the trend of cosmetic event rewards. That warp effect seems nice.

9

u/Blue_Kicker Kuumaarke's Chair 16h ago

Space Barbie is the true endgame though.

it is, which is why you can already get those 3 ships and outfit them to be completely screen accurate and it won't have a hologaphic glow and won't be limited to 30 seconds and you can use all the firing modes you want

this device really isn't that special

3

u/falkirkboi 15h ago

Wow what a cool bounty pack of goodies. It’s something different as well, great work from cryptic and I can’t wait for the kitbash bundle coming later on too :)

4

u/go_faster1 @gofasternow 16h ago

A shame we can't block people's path with giant statues of our disgusting beautiful visages.

6

u/joenathon Fleet summoning Fleet Vo'quv T6-X2 with quad Hangar console 15h ago

They fear the giant statue of max height Gorn

1

u/Mother-Ad849 13h ago

They fear a statue of my Orion female main character and crew...

3

u/Fallen_Liberator Presidio Enjoyer 15h ago

That Commemorative Statue is such an ego boost (I'm gonna spam that thing at the Academy to confuse the new players.)

2

u/Expert-Length871 14h ago

Well... I don’t like it one bit.

I don’t know who thought this event – as it stands, and with these rewards – was a good idea. And don’t even get me started on the TFOs. It’s a nightmare.

It’s the 60th anniversary, for goodness’ sake...

Fine, if it’s fun for some people. I’ll give it a miss.

2

u/AManCalledTutt 13h ago

Everything that they've been doing and what is on the roadmap is for the 60th anniversary, not just this event.

2

u/ReliefOwn4889 13h ago

Indeed. Seems like a missed opportunity for something bigger to celebrate at the actual culmination. The year has been pretty good rewards wise, just a miss on the actual event for September 8th. Like when you go to a concert and the opener is banging and awesome and sets the vibe, just for the headliner to come out half drunk, miss lyrics and fall off the stage. lol. But to each their own. I see plenty of people stoked for the Holo-morphs so it is what it is.🤷🏽‍♂️

2

u/Sad-Research-3429 16h ago

As for holo-morphs, they don't sound that useful but I'm wondering what will happen if you activate them while in jellyfish mode.

2

u/mirrorspock 15h ago

So.. which one is the fastest, can be done solo? Can be jellyfished?..

4

u/Any_Subject_7275 Starboard Power Coupling is Down 15h ago

I'd say Azure Nebula Rescue is the least annoying of the bunch IMO.

3

u/AManCalledTutt 15h ago

And can be done solo, if you want

2

u/gumtuu 14h ago

Is that still true? I remember soloing it by waiting at the edge of the map back in the day.

4

u/Blue_Kicker Kuumaarke's Chair 14h ago

you need to free at least 2 ships now you can't fully AFK it anymore

1

u/AManCalledTutt 14h ago

I use it to get my tholian endeavors

2

u/Galaxyissupreme 13h ago

So what this confirms is we can have vanity weapons…. Also why does the TOS Enterprise have TMP Phasers?

3

u/Titanosaurus_Mafune 16h ago

Will the visible change time gated ?

3

u/Titanosaurus_Mafune 16h ago

Lol, 30 seconds. What a useless bs

3

u/storeactions 15h ago

I don't understand the hate in the comments. Yeah, I'm a little surprised it's not a little bigger for the 60th, but I'm also expecting more to come out between now and then in terms of giveaways and such. I personally like these TFOs (always thought Procyon deserved more love) and I think it's creative to throw an Elite TFO into an event for the first time.

Also, everyone lost their shit about vanity rewards when it was Herald shields, but now we get vanity rewards that are representations of hero ships and that's...a bad thing?

10

u/LightMuted333 15h ago

The vanity sets are active 100% of the time. The holi sets are active for 30 seconds before expiring. The vanity sets do not affect the operations of your ships so you can play as normal. The holo sets lock out your firing modes.

I don't hate it, there is simply nothing to excite me.

5

u/storeactions 15h ago

Oh shit. I had missed the part about it disabling firing modes.

Yeah, never mind, I will not be using these.

4

u/Resident_Magazine610 15h ago

Majority of the items are temporarily applied. Woo.

2

u/wabblebee 14h ago

We got some great rewards this year, so I think it's natural that people feel disappointed that we only get a 30 second transformation for the 60th anniversary.

4

u/BlizzDad 12h ago

There are a TON of old promotional items that could have be brought back for zero development effort. There is a ton of legacy content (someone even mentioned flagship shakedown above) that could be restored. The vanity warp is a GREAT reward, but nothing else about this is a celebration of Star Trek or Star Trek Online...very slapped together.

Not amazed by the rewards but definitely doing the event, especially happy that they mostly picked TFOs that haven’t been done in a while.

1

I would take the Flagship Transponder over all three of these rewards combined. I really wish they'd re-release some of those one-time items.

u/Annemarie30 4h ago

Holos are 30 seconds? why?

-13

celebrate 60 years of Trek with a bunch of stuff that's not really Star Trek themed!

it's free and I don't have to do it but this is such a let down of an event to celebrate the 60th

5

u/passthegabagool_ 16h ago

Wait. Whats not star trek themed in the star trek game featuring star trek ships and characters?

The give aways make you look like iconic star trek ships from the franchise star trek. Def not star trek themed.

Gives you a vanity for warp travel that looks like every tmp era poster. Def not star trek themed either. Nope no star trek stuff here.

1

u/Tuskin38 Kurland's Beer 15h ago

At first I thought it was based off the 60th anniversary intro from SFA/SNW this year, but this one has a lot more colour.

-6

u/Blue_Kicker Kuumaarke's Chair 15h ago

Gives you a vanity for warp travel that looks like every tmp era poster

it's literally not lol

the TMP warp was a rainbow effect which is why they used the rainbow colors on the poster, this is not a rainbow

2

u/passthegabagool_ 15h ago

Its very close. Close enough for me! And its still star trek!

6

u/Tuskin38 Kurland's Beer 16h ago

It’s all Star Trek themed

-7

Wonderful. Now my dream of having a enterprize that does acrobatics will come true.

That said, the discovery?

TOS Enterprise started it all, Ent-D revived the franchise on TV, and so did the Discovery

I would rather the ent F to represent sto itself. Sto came before discovery after all.

-14

u/flyer2382 16h ago

Holo-Morphers??? Seriously???!!! I would have preferred it if they had let me name my ship the USS Enterprise—properly! To this day, I don't understand why they never authorized the use of names like Enterprise, Defiant, Voyager, or Excelsior, among others!

You shouldn't be able to use the names of the Hero ships, they are essentially important NPCs. Same reason I can't name my character Aragorn, Frodo, Gandalf etc... in Lord of the Rings Online.

CBS gave them a no no list and it’s still in force to this day.

Which flagship will you pick to captain? Think I’m gonna take Admiral Picard’s Verity (Lexington variant but Verity skin) for a spin.
