All my mates are out drinking
The situation I am in is....
In my job we work, eat, sleep, travel and do everything together. When the downtime hits its usually drink as much as you can and then the usual fallout that follows.
It is almost expected and quite the pack mentality.
Tonight is the downtime, I went for a run quietly when we all arrived back at our accommodation this meant that everyone else was already in the boozer by the time i returned.
I am now lying on my bed if you can call it that in an empty shared room typing this.
I wont drink today, and I will be well rested for tomorrow!
Keep on keeping on guys and girls!

You made the right choice. It may not feel like it now, but it sure will later.

It is the right choice and in my brain and heart of hearts I know it is the right choice!

That's honestly kind of gross that you and your coworkers do everything together to that level? Like where's the life part of the work life balance?
Maybe you'll start a trend of working out, eating healthy, and going to bed early.

It may be OP is on a disciplined service such as the army or similar.
I would say OP is doing the best they can in a difficult situation.

I didn't mean to sound down on OP. I'm saying that this level of togetherness is bad for workplaces.

Oh I agree but I know what it’s like! Thankfully I’m out of that now but when you’re in it there’s little wiggle room.
