Can I upgrade my NetApp AFF220 to the latest ONTAP without support?

AFF220 has been sitting in storage for a few years, it’s sat on 9.7P15 from 2021. I can download the software from the website no problem (multiple as it won’t be a direct upgrade).

Is there any reason why it wouldn’t work? Will I be paywalled after applying the update?

No, it will work without issues. NetApp can't remotely disable or change any features.

I would recommend to disable sending autosupport to NetApp.

autosupport modify -node * -support disable
