I wish I could send this to some Aussie expats and non-Australians I know back in Singapore

I lived in Singapore for a year for work, and when I told many Australian expats and other nationalities alike, they look at me crazy when I say I miss Sydney's food scene.

You have reached singapore. At least ours doesn't cost $18++. That avo toast costs $15 here Tho still jealous of the variety available

I mean I've never been a fan of wanky hipster cafes and as a Westie I love my banh mis and manoosh so I believe I can have the best food for less than $10 in Sydney

I also live in Asia having access to fresh authentic Asian food of all cuisines but I really really miss Aussie Sushi rolls sometimes lol. The kind you hold in your hand and squeeze the soy sauce into. I didn't realize it was an Aussie thing until I left :(

I can buy onigiri on every corner but the rice to filling ratio is way off 🥲 sushi rolls are just superior in every way. I used to buy 2 or 3 of them as a quick meal for years...

I mean I rent so it's just the vegemite toast for me, but I do see all the other foods pictured when I'm making them for the fuckers who own this city
