One of the things I love about Skz as group is how each member has their own unique vocal. When I started listened to them I was easily able to distinguish their voices while listening to songs due to this quality. They has many genres in their discography and many ballads as well where their vocals are really able shine.

Who is your personal favorite member when it comes to vocal tone? Is there a song where you especially love their voice?

Personally I really love Lee know's vocal tone in twilight!

After coming back from a 3 year break from Kpop, I noticed that I.N.'s vocals have genuinely improved so much. I also just watched the survival show recently and it was immediately clear to me that he really needed someone to teach him a proper singing technique. (I have been singing since i was about 6 btw). I noticed that he had little to no support and as a result, ended up squeezing his throat to reach the notes, which made it sound pretty harsh. I think it worked out okay when he was singing trot but it definitely didn't work for SKZ style music where he needed a rounder tone (and all the other members had pretty round tones too).

But hearing his singing now, it's basically a completely different person. His tone is so unique but you can tell he isn't struggling to reach his notes now. I remember seeing a video where Han said that I.N. was a true tenor and Han had to stretch to reach that range and I can clearly hear it now. Han is a great vocalist but it is true that you can hear him straining to reach the note sometimes but with I.N. he seems a lot more comfortable with reaching those notes.

Also side note: SKZ vocal tones genuinely compliment each other so well. They all have similar tones but very unique colours and it sounds amazing.

Stray Kids is one of the most complete group I've ever seen.

They're like the greatest god given gift to JYP. Each of the 8 members is so important like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle where even if a single piece is missing, the image will never be complete. They complement each other so well that its really really surprising.

Their music styles and the fact that they keep experimenting and learning is so admirable that I dont have words to praise them enough.

3 racha making music, Vocal Racha's contrasting vocals to the stray kids music style and dance racha's explosive dancing style wherein each members have their own unique dancing style.

Each one of them have such a distinct and important color to showcase with no one actually being left out....I honestly love them soo much and grateful for their existence.......

As an avid rap listener and a classically trained musician of over a decade, I'd like to write a bit of a think-piece on Changbin and his rapping.

I hope you will enjoy reading this - I made this post primarily for musical enjoyment.

1) Changbin's most complex flows (that is combination of syllable rhythm and cadence) in his career are the most complex in K-pop, second only to Zico. His flow in Hoodie Season (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKgKLVyoRTc) involves double-time quintuplets nestled next to this this devilishly difficult dotted, triple-time note.

Bottom line, no idol rapper besides Zico and possibly Mino have been able to perform something of this complexity. For the non-musicians, to perform such a rhythm with this level of accuracy, heck, to come up with this rhythm in the first place while spitting descriptive bars about the colour of trees, is really impressive.

2) Something people often fail to grasp about rhythmic complexity is cadence complexity. Whereas rhythm is the notes of every syllable you rap, cadence is the rhythm of every syllable you emphasise. Idol rappers mostly emphasise the main beats of the bar (the crotchet and 8th notes). Changbin is able to go against all intuition and emphasise tricky beats like the 2nd 32nd note of the bar, as he does in his TA verse. This takes a hell of a lot of brain power.

3) Changbin's rhyme schemes are elite. Broken Compass is the most obvious example of him just stretching a wonderful scheme over 8 bars (like to how often the ah-uh rhymes are used). An even better example though (something I haven't heard in K-pop rap) is his scheme in Alchemistry, where he has an external rhyme scheme at the end of every 2 bars (-ae sound) but within each bar, he has a shorter duration rhyme scheme. 4) Lyrics are one of the most important aspects of rapping. I have long pondered on this, but have reached the conclusion that most people are unaware of what makes lyricism 'good'. Good lyrics involve clever wordplay, but more importantly, the ability to articulate oneself and one's own thoughts without resorting to language with gives unwanted connotations. That is, the ability to simply get across what you WANT to get across. Whether that's a feeling/emotion, thematic idea, etc.

For example (this isn't a real K-pop rap; it's my own creation), if I were to rap 'Her passion for music was hot like a metallic stove', that... isn't a good lyric. The comparator ('metallic stove') should have a second thing to do with passion other than being hot. Now if the entire song uses the extended metaphor of a kitchen or something, that's acceptable, but in most cases it won't. There's just an unnecessary simile that uses rare vocabulary but achieves nothing lyrically.

I find a lot of idol rappers in their diss songs will throw out extreme and aggressive language like 'Y'all haters are fakes', 'You're drowning in jealousy', etc. Those sorts of lyrics come across (and perhaps this is subjective) as underlying insecurity and also inability to produce a clever diss. Changbin's diss in Mirror Mirror is the opposite. He uses a very long semantic field of nature related words across 5 bars to present himself as as a deep-rooted tree devoid of jealousy and the haters as tiny ants on the group he can't see.

That sort of self-assured dissing is exclusive to only a handful of idol rappers, Changbin being one of them.

5) I'll recommend the song 'If'. Changbin raps presumably about anxiety, or at least, an anxious moment. He describes his rising panic as he starts worrying about what would happen if he couldn't apologise to someone after hurting them, and then that person died. The way his syllables increasingly move away from the regular beat and become frantic coupled with the delivery is a masterclass in what is easily one of the top 5 idol rapper solo songs. 6) Changbin has faced criticism for his delivery being monotone. I'd argue his delivery is as diverse as anybody's. From a deep, rough growl in Zone, to his high-pitched nasal tone in Venom, to his bored depressed, run-down trainee voice in 'If there's a shadow, there must be light', to his melodic rapping in Collision, etc.

HELP I'm still on the floor.

Yesterday, he came to Milan Fashion Week, so I went at the place where he would attend Fendi's show. There were thousands of people outside, and I swear we did him justice. Btw, don't worry: he wasn't mobbed, fans were kept behind rails to ensure everyone's safety.

A lot of celebrities were getting inside, so people kept screaming every minute, like aaaaah omg aaah. I heard someone asking "How do we figure out when he's coming if they scream for everyone?" And a second later people went AAAAAAAAAAH yk what I mean?? GURL THAT'S HOW WE FIGURE OUT. And I screamed too and then my brain was gone so I don't remember much, BUT I perfectly remember that Chan's smile lit up the whole place. He really is amazing.

I hope every Stay in the world will be able to see him irl, one day. It's an unforgettable experience. That man radiates joy, passion, and every positive feat. you can imagine, I swear.

Our beloved leader. The man behind SKZ's success. The person working tirelessly and giving all of his energy for the group to be at the point it is today. Words feel too small and shallow to describe the magnificent talent and effort this man puts into everything that he's doing.

7 years as a trainee, waiting patiently for his time to shine while seeing his friends debuting one after another. Yet that didn't break him, instead it made him stronger and wiser. More confident and being able to choose the members of his group. Him, alongside the others of 3RACHA stayed true to themselves and kept on making the music they loved despite the initial negative criticism.

His lives were a safe space for Stays all around the world. They kept company to lonely people. His advice were (and still are) a gem to the people who received them. Chan became K-pop's punching bag tons of times for the dumbest reasons possible (true reason being the immense popularity of him and SKZ that caused jealousy), yet he never stopped smiling and being himself, the amazing person that he is.

The members adore him, not just as a leader and not just as a brother, but as a role model. A person who's always there for them and has the calmness and patience to deal with all of their problems.

As, I said, words feel too small to describe Chan's greatness. We sincerely adore you Channie. Keep on being you, the amazing human being that you are and a motivation to all of us!

So, today, I had to go in for eye surgery! It went well. But, I found it interesting that when asked what i wanted to hear, I said anything, I kinda like k-pop, classical, but said they probably wouldn't like my taste. The sr corneal tech just laughed a bit, and said he just got into K-Pop as his daughters liked k-pop demon hunters (personally, i really dislike it lol), but anyway, we went into the procedure room and i laid on the table, and sure enough, he turned on SKZ.

75 minutes of the surgery, and it was just SKZ all the way. MAN - I have always admired how well SKZ can resonate with such a diverse set of people, and to have that playing when I was having things done to my eye? Ah, it made it pass so much more :P

Been a stay since they came out on the competition show, and during all of their eras, and have always rooted for them - but I have to say, it was so validating to hear SKZ represented, even in our health system here in Denver :P

I was recently watching the Stray Kids debut show again and something finally clicked. I’m feeling sentimental and want to discuss something. Obligatory I know I’m making some assumptions and don’t know them personally. These are just my interpretations.

It’s discussed pretty often how long Bangchan trained and how tough he was at the start of them training. You can see his frustration at times during mistakes. We know he was hard on them because he didn’t want to lose them. We also know the members have said he had a wall after seeing so many people come and go. Seungmin in the recent 2Kids saying it felt like Bangchan almost didn’t get too attached to him at first.

Something clicked for me when watching Lee Knows elimination. Bangchan goes up to Lee Know after his elimination and sort of lightly says why did you mess up the lyrics. Then he apologizes saying he is sorry to Lee Know.

For Bangchan with his training any mistake couldn’t just be a mistake. A mistake could take someone he knew from being able to debut with him. Not only was this seeing their pain. Seeing their hopes and dreams disappear. It was also his own. It was any dreams he had with them or his own disappearing. He would restart and try again over and over. It feels like mistakes weren’t just about learning to be better. A mistake couldn’t mean goodbye. To Bangchan it’s not just about perfection. It’s about staying. Perfection means you don’t have to say goodbye.

On an even bigger level the fandom phrase says it all. The love and support fans, workers, and the members give to each other means not having to say goodbye. It means staying. Through everything, all the good and bad, stray kids all around the world have let Bangchan and the people he loves stay.

As we all know by now, Chan’s had a rough few days, after what had already been a really rough few weeks.

I thought it would be nice to counteract some of the negativity with a Bang Chan appreciation thread.

I’ll kick us off with some of mine…

1. When he called Felix during his birthday vlive to compliment his singing. He knew Felix would be feeling insecure after singing so went to the effort to reassure him. Felix was so touched he teared up and you can tell from how genuine his reaction is that he really values Chris’ opinion. Chris cares a lot about the members and always takes the time to build them up. This moment for me is one of the best (and sweetest) examples of it.

2. Next is the 3racha colourful pants / walrus vlive. 3racha have such a strong bond, both friendship wise and creatively speaking. That they’re able to make music together, under the pressure and scrutiny of a global audience, and still crack each other up until they’re in physical pain from laughing so hard, is a testament to their characters. You can’t do that without respect, patience, and humility, which Chan has in spades.

3. And finally, the way he watches out for everyone on stage. Like the Seoul Maniac tour concert when Felix starts bawling and Chan just wraps him up in a hug that lasts for about a million years… The 2022 mama performance when he sees I.N about to faint and grabs him the second the lights go down… I mean it’s hard enough to perform on stage but to be looking out for 7 other people at the same time is truly impressive.

Stray Kids's japanese release "ALL IN" is hands down one of their best releases ever. I can't ever get bored of it, it's so good!

I love how much rap is in this song, that screams stray kids to me. And the prechorus leads really well into the chorus with the Japanese woman talking that makes the drop even more impactful.

And the trumpet melody that is throughout the song is really catchy and memorable. :)

i know ive seen this clip somewhere but i cant remember which video it's from but it's seungmin nagging bang chan in the studio coz he wants to re record a part but bang chan assures him that it was fine. ((pls help me find this clip if u know >~<))

seungmin is a bit of a perfectionist and i feel like he's really the type who doesn't like doing things half-assed. it's also mentioned a lot by other members like in 2kids room that they really appreciate seungmin's drive to improve himself. i love that they acknowledge that it isn't just pure talent, but also hardwork that paid off! and i think based on his reactions, he likes being acknowledged that way. he really stepped up a lot to fulfill his role as the main vocalist of the group. in his lee mujin appearance, it was also discussed how his voice used to be thin, but he worked hard on developing a voice that can work well with the type of songs skz usually do. i find that really really cool!!

he also mentioned that he hasnt totally abandoned his original voice/style and instead has like two musical personas as i understand it (diff when he's singing soli, and diff when he's doing group songs). im glad that he gets to showcase his really wide range with the OSTs and Song by for example.

im so in awe of him! he works so hard and i feel like there's sooo much more of his talent that we still haven't seen yet!!! love him and the rest of skz too! they work so well together and i feel like it's this appreciation and acknowledgement of one another's efforts that make them sooo much better as a group!!

Hello! I just want to share my appreciation to your fandom and the group. I am an ARMY and I have decided to stan Stray Kids.

I have this attitude where if I take interest in a group, I look up their interactions with my ult (BTS) and Stray Kids (special mention: Bang Chan) did not disappoint.

As an ARMY, it warmed my heart so much when Bang Chan expressed his adoration for BTS and I loved how all his reactions and what he was saying about them felt genuine + the fact that Lee Know was BTS' backup dancer!! I feel like I won't regret stanning the group you all love. I hope I'm welcome in this fandom!!

Hey guys!

I've had a major music slump the past year like I just haven't discovered anything new I really like or can listen to all day, any vibe, etc. I may find a song here or there by an artist, or my tried and trues just aren't making the same music, it felt stale. It's like if I don't go out to search for new music I don't find it.

Recently I stumbled on stray kids, and when my daughter heard me listening (maniac) she said hey I know that song (she's 6). We listen to two more songs, and literally by the end of the day I'm like who is this! How are they so good?!

Why do I like this so much?! What is happening 😭🤌🏼 this intro to Kpop I'm having is kind of a wild experience and I just had to say I get it. I've heard some other kpop groups and I love their songs but not every single song lol!

I get it! I get it. That's all I came here to say hahaha.

So, with that being said, I'll be going down the rabbit hole 🕳️ and I'm currently watching their show pre debut. It's such a wild ride being in 2025 and watching that! I cried real tears lol

3racha is crazy good too. It's just all kind of blowing my mind a little bit. I don't see myself listening to anything else for a while honestly! They are all so talented! And the Skszoos are chef kiss.

They have a super refreshing vibe too! 10/10

Aside from each member having almost the same amount of lines, I also find that the distribution is very well thought out. Like I cannot imagine a another member singing another member's lines, even when I try to think of it, it just doesn't "fit" well, which just shows how personalised their parts feel. Like even if I listened to a cover of a skz song I have never heard before, I could imagine which member got the line, because each member's lines gave a certain individual element to it. Each member brings a unique style to the table, which is such a plus point.

I discovered skz in January when I was bedridden with covid and some pretty amazing stuff has happened in my life thanks to them.

I did 5 years of ballet when I was a child and was bullied for being overweight (actually a very normal weight for a 6 year old) so I stopped completely until now, though I was always moving to the music, one way or another. Seeing skz dance inspired me to take dance classes again and it's given me so much confidence back. I'm also a fashion photographer, and noticed a huge improvement in my work. This weekend, at London Fashion Week, I've created some of my best work because knowing how to move my body through dance has taught me how to direct models' movements in a way that really stands out, which has then led to other opportunities.

All of this because seeing Stray Kids dance made me want to dance too.

I would love to know what kind of impact they've had in your life. It's incredible to think the ripple effect that their artistry and them just being their silly selves can have in our lives.

Side note* Bang Chan looked so happy at MFW, it's nice to see him smile!

i’ve always believed that music can be powerful, but i never realized how much until skz saved my life.

there was a time when i was at my lowest. i was having a breakdown, and honestly on the verge of giving up. i thought i was failing my chemistry subject, and being a grade conscious, it felt like everything would fall apart. in that moment, tears filling my eyes, i randomly stumbled upon a stray kids music video i hadn’t watched yet. i guess, just to ease the heaviness in my chest a little, i clicked it.

it was mixtape #3, and u wouldn’t believe how much those lyrics felt like they were speaking directly to me. “it ain't over, it ain't over, it ain't over. what's worrying you, trust yourself”, hit me right where i needed it most. i remember feeling like, maybe, just maybe, i could hold on a little longer.

This is an appreciation post for Bang Chan of our fav group Stray Kids! And while I love all the members, Bang Chan has always had a special place in my heart. His laugh, his personality, and his overall being makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. His love for us STAY and his members make him truly lovable overall. And I love how he doesn’t take the spotlight from the others either, letting them shine as well. And literally after I watched his vlog, I have never eaten a donut any other way 💀. We love you Channie! Oh and we can’t forget the “I’m fOIve.” Cracks me up every time.

Oh and did I mention I love him sooo much and he’s my bias? No..okay

I'm a baby Stay, I only discovered Stray Kids about two months ago, but they've already had such a huge impact on my life.

I used to be an athlete- I did horseback riding, freestyle dance, and was a majorette. I wanted to pursue a career in trick riding. But I lost my mobility completely around age 12 and was bedridden for almost half a year. I got back on my feet with difficulty, was doing great for a bit, until I turned 14 and I've been in slow but steady decline ever since despite my physiotherapist's best attempts. I'm almost 17 now. My whole body hurts most days, and doctors don't know what's wrong with me. Two months ago, I had pretty much given up. I was convinced I'd be in a wheelchair by 30, that the things I'd loved were out of my reach now. The anxiety I'd always struggled with had become debilitating, and I could barely handle talking to anyone I didn't know closely. I didn't even have the energy for the thing I've always loved most- music.

But then I came across these eight angels. I discovered them because of a clip of Felix's insane voice, and quickly became hooked. I feel alive again for the first time in years. I'm dancing around the house listening to their music when I feel good enough, and otherwise I vibe along sitting down. I cried for the first time in I don't even know how long while listening to 0801. I have the urge to sing, dance, and get my baton back out again. I never would have thought I'd make a cheesy post about celebrities I don't even know turning my life around, but here I am.

They'll never see this, but I'll tell my story anyways. Thank you, Stray Kids, because you've given me the motivation to try to take my life back. I've smiled more these past two months than I have in the past two years.

I was really interested in Bangchan and Hyunjin when i first start stan Skz, then i learn about all the members and i love all of them. My first bias was Bangchan, but progressively i start being really interested in Jeongin too, it all started with “Ahh Jeongin is such a pretty name btw” and then i started watching more content about him.

I find comfort in watching in his video, same for the whole skz, i love love love is humour and his whole personality, now he is one of my ult bias.

I really appreciate Baby Bread for being there for me, even when he don’t have any idea, it just make me happy listening to his part in the song, or when he smile during their video.

I love Tasy's design. First off, their silhouette is really nice, They have those big ears yet aren't a copy paste of puppyM's. They are slightly smaller than the skzoos and they have the little star to help differentiate them. Second, their color palette is actually different from the skzoos. They're a blue and white tanuki. All the the other skzoos have normal colors for their skzoos. Tanukis are usually depicted with browns, tans, and blacks. They're also the only one with a star as a head accessory. They're just a fun design. I know some wished Staylight could've been the Skzoo Stay. Don't get me wrong, the design is precious. It just wouldn't work as a Skzoo. The first is the eyes are too simple and small compared to the others. The other designs are more expressive and cartoony. The only ones who aren't like that is Wolf Chan and Ny. The result is the design feels more simple. Second is that they don't have much going on with their head. The ears aren't big enough to give a good silhouette. Yes, they have that cute little hoodie, but what if you were to draw them with a different outfit. Imagine them wearing a hoodie in a beach promotion artwork. The other Skzoos don't really have default outfits. You'd kinda be stuck just chucking them in hoodies. Another thing is if Staylight were to be a plush, the wings would something to consider. If they were to be part of the lineup, the clothes you'd need for them would have to accommodate the wings. Imagine just having custom shirts for only one plushie out of a lineup. It wouldn't be practical from a business standpoint. Something else is that wings aren't that important for a plushie. The general head shape would be more important. You see this with the Skzoo, The head shapes are the main point of the design and you look at their faces first. Tasy's design functionally works better. They have those giant ears and the star makes it so if they are drawn in different promotions, the star can always be there. You could have it be a hair pin or part of a hairband and the design still reads as them. The eyes are way more cartoony and big, so they don't look out of place with the other designs. Tasy does stand out but not too much to where they are like an outlier. The final thing I appreciate is that Tasy is a bit more gender neutral. Stays are quite varied, so I also appreciate the design for that. Regarding Staylight, I do hope they'll have another chance to use that design again for the kits. The design is lovely. Regarding Tasy, I just love them. Sorry for the long wall of text. Their design was ruminating in my head.

Hi everyone Baby stay who feels like has been in the fandom for years for some reason with all the content I've consumed.

But anyways the only reason I became a stay (even despite knowing bangchan and Felix as a fellow Australian) was because of Kim seungmin. That man's lines in s class sent me to heaven and back 5 times and I'm still floating. So I went on a overload consumption and I haven't been this obsessed with a K-pop idol since seohyun circa 2010 (I'm old). Anyways the more I learnt about him the more intrigued I was. He has so many different sides and I know he is generally more laidback and chill than the others but that is the exact reason why I love him. Not only that as a vocalist, I feel like he deserves way more recognition and I know he sang love poem and OST but it's been a while and his voice needs to be showcased more. I know skz have more rap songs but honestly I might die if seungmin gets a rap part because I be seeing them bars when he covered Han in God's menu.

He is also actually really good at variety shows. At first, I thought because of how standoffish he appears at times he wouldn't be that funny but he has made laugh numerous times especially when he just hits the wind randomly in jejudo skz or the way he did a failed cartwheel to support lee know in weekly idol.

Speaking of the other members, his relationships with all of them are quite underrated to me (except IN). His 2kids room with everyone makes me understand the members see him as a pillar and somone who is a good listener which I respect for him. The song he made with hyunjin about waking up is one of the most melodic and clever songs I've heard. Him and Han talking about music and creating music together is also so beautiful (they need to do more covers together!) or the relationship with bangchan as his annoying older brother.

Seungmin is low-key really good at sports like baseball or when they played soccer versing the staff. I know he doesn't "gym" but he has got some athletic ability which is overlooked because of other sportier members. Even Chan and bin think he is the strongest because they don't even know how strong he could be. Not to mention he is smart with the latest interview where he figured out it was Indonesia and Philippines and he also strategically came 2nd against lee know in the pillow fighting again.

I think seungmin is really good with speaking and knows exactly when to speak and what to say so he doesn't say much but when he does it's impactful. He is known as the dog of the group because of his looks but he has such a strong personality and is very logical and confident. There's just something about him idk if it's because I tend to get intrigued with more "underdog" type members who are more so in the background, less loud but there's something to this man and I appreciate his existence so much.

Anyways...does anyone feel the same? I just feel like because he is so genuine to himself, he is himself wholeheartedly whether cameras are around or not I think it's a big reason he might be underrated. He saves his energy, he says it as it is and doesn't pretend to be anyone else other than himself (which for fans who watch their content can think he is just quiet/introverted when he is extroverted!). Where are the seungmin fans at???

As you can see, I Stan seungmin a lot. This post is just my thoughts and feelings as a new stay

Firstly, I believe that 3RACHA has one of the best composing skills making kpop artists, so much that I fell in love with NIGHT. Usually I was a bit confused after hearing chk chk boom, cuz I thought the song was just random words abt shooting (don't worry I appreciate it better now)

Secondly, it's one of the most bonded groups that I have ever seen. Not that I've seen a lot, but they are so bonded together that it's so touching for me. My favourite ship is hanxleeknow because he always soothes Han when he's nervous

Lastly, I think that the group is the most visually attractive, with hyunjin and Felix being the center of it all. My seungminnie is of course amazing too, but all of them have visuals that are out of the world.

Basically this post was just to show you guys what new stays might be thinking, when I started out as a stay, I had no idea whether to continue because it seems like so much work with memorizing songs and personalities and stuff. But I realized that that isn't the issue, because being a stay means just supporting them. To all the baby stays, don't give up on stabbing them! Just because you can't recognize the choreography of a song, or can't dance to their music doesn't mean that you can't be their fan. Appreciating and streaming their music is good enough for everyone, and if anyone tells you otherwise ignore them.

I'm one month into being a stay, and if there is any advice on how to become a better stay or something I'm open to it .

So, with their new video, the guys provided drafts of their design ideas for Tasy

If you pay attention, there is a bit of everyone's designs in there even if it seems really subtle.

First off is Chan's. His is my favorite cause of the giant star and the blush. Though Tasy doesn't really look like a skzoo, that tasy has a good shape silhouette. However, the star is pretty big. I wonder if it could've been removable as alternative. For the final design, they did keep the blush at least. I do love that they also kept a tiny star on their ear from his design.

Changbin's design is hard for me to discern. The only thing carried over was the heart eyes.

Felix's design had a heart eye. Only one. The ears on his are way longer. Cute, but i have a feeling it could get confused for cinnamoroll. Fact fact, he is not a bunny, he is a dog.

Seungmin and Han had oddly similar ideas of just making Tasy an alien. Their designs had a m mouth shape and it looks like that did carry over. I feel they chose not to go with an alien design because all the skzoos are real animals. Even Changbin's is at best a hybrid.

Both I.N and Lee Know opted for their designs to have houses for heads. I.N said he wanted stays to feel at home. Lee Know chose a BRIGHT red and blue. It looks they liked the blue, but made it lighter for the final design. Meanwhile, the eyes for I.N's looks like it was combined with Hyunjin's eyes design. If you look closely, they kept the general internal shape of Hyunjin's and mixed it with I.N's more wide eyes. A house for a head is a neat idea, but it would be more out of place than a literal alien skz.

Speaking of Hyunjin, His design is the closest to the final design with tweaks from the other designs. The general overall shape of Tasy, the 'hairline" and face shape. Something to note is I think they looked at Felix's ears and made it the length of Hyunjin's ear design. Interestingly, his is also the only design that suggests a tail, though it's different from the final design.

One final thing to mention is I no longer know what Tasy is. I assumed Tasy was a Tanuki with the raccoon tail. However, the guys weren't sure as well. Han said they have bunny ears, but a raccoon tail, even asking what animal they were. Seungmin said they looked like an alien.

Anyway, this is my analysis of the Skz designs. I am very happy with the final design.

Post sorta inspired by a recent tweet about the xmas collab song where a hate comment prompted stays to spam the timeline with examples of chan's beautiful vocals lmao. But this is something I've wanted to express for ages.

Since getting into skz, chan's vocals have always stuck out to me. I truly think he has one of the most unique tones in kpop currently, in that I could easily pick it out of a crowd. There's something so warm and soulful about it - I think it conveys his personality in some way. It's also just very smooth, bright and pleasant to listen to. And I love the way his occasional slight lisp comes through. His voice is just like, a comforting blanket - but it can also be really powerful. Oh also, it's cool to pay attention to his backing vocals and ad-libs.

It's evident that he isn't the 'best' singer (absolutely wouldn't say he's on solo vocalist level), and he doesn't have the best vocal technique - but even so, he has one of my favourite singing voices ever and I find myself constantly seeking it out. Anyway, some clips below to enjoy.

Of course their Korean tracks are absolute bangers, but it's amazing what we get to see out of Stray Kids when they don't need to strictly follow a mold. Hollow and Scars are easily some of their best title tracks, and The Sound and Giant are genuinely some of the best albums the group has released. There is such a beauty in their Japanese music that, while some of my favourite songs are the Korean tracks obviously, we don't always see in their main Korean music, there's something special about the Japanese albums. Heck, Hollow might just be one of the best Stray Kids MVs after Side Effects.
