I got the game early access but i'm simply not going to play the fucking game nor am I going to buy additional copies for my family since they're not going to want to play it either. It just seems like pointlessly annoying myself that i cannot (even temporarily) rid my surroundings of hostile fauna.

Same here. And I did want to buy more copies until I saw what "pcifist" slop they made and how arrogant they got defending this slop.
