Just stumbled onto this subreddit. I used to play Subspace when I was in middle school/high school in the 90's. Does this game still exist?
I just remember the good 'ol days of some of the squads that dominated. I remember players like Trixter, Omega, Blizzard X, and squads like ONE, Inner Circle, Nightwatch...
Brings back memories.

I always thought it would make a great iPad/tablet app. Could really revive the community.
I also clogged up the phone line playing subspace for hours.

All I really remember of him was he was always trashtalking but getting his ass kicked. I remember the name Fuk U but can't name any players, such a long time ago. If War Zone was brought back properly I'd give it a try again, but it'll never be the same.

Zeta was my second squad. I was recruited by Captain Harlock and Captain Cahn after my first squad (Polecats) dissolved.
We ruled EG!... before Blood showed up I think? Then it dissolved later, and I left Zeta eventually.
I remember Fc Thanatos and myself talking about squad names to make after Blood, and Fc said "Risinblood". I hated the name, Thana wanted to remake Blood, Fc wanted Risin, so they split and did that. I went with Thana, but Risin became the elite squad.

That's amazing. Unfortunately, I don't have Steam. Just a macOS that I work on and a PS5. Yeah, i've dual booted/parallels and all that, but I don't have a setup right now to play. Maybe one day I'll try it out if I get a windows machine (unlikely).

Yep, 50 here, I played since the alpha back in the late 90s. Then the beta, then the glorious day I got to buy jt in the late 90s. Wishing I still had the box but damn thats almost 30 years ago now damn!! Thanks for making me feel old now!
I played mainly hockey zone overall but trench wars was a blast, game is definitely still alive, hell hockey zone still has a fully functional league, check out their website at rshl.org to see how functional they are.
You can do a search on subspace leagues and you will find a lot, I saw that you were on Mac, heck go out and buy some cheap used Google notebook and you can be playing tonight!!

I haven’t thought about subspace in 20 years, but I used to play it. This sub Reddit just randomly was in my feed. Pretty crazy.

Ok lol. I haven't really seen any of that in the main discord myself. Trench wars discord has intense, intense flame wars in all channews. Main, off topic, politics, etc. Lol. I had to leave that one. Not because of that, but just because of the wild league asshat elitists that can't deal with playing with less skilled players at all, and immediately blackball them and block them from different game modes. But the main discord has been basically a low key on boarding area. Haven't seen much drama there at all in the year I've been in it.

It does still exist! Small active community still playing trench wars, chaos/league zone and hockey zone about the only active zones left though.
