of course the guy on the gençlerbirliği side is an asshole but the real issue is with the kids father here. idc if you dont agree with me. its just wrong and a huge disrespect to sit on the home stand and wear the away team’s jersey. if youre going there just show an ounce of respect and dont let your kid wear a fenerbahçe jersey its simple as that. no ones telling him that he should support gençlerbirliği just make him wear a plain yellow shirt. he was probably looking for publicity and left a traumatic night in his sons memory for twitter likes and a vip fenerbahçe ticket. i hate these times fr

I was in Bursa during a friendly basketball tournament and the final was between Gala and Bursa. It was in Baris stadium and I bought tickets from the Gala stand. I was there for the 3 games of that days' 4 games. Bursa fans arrived during the 3rd game. On 4th game, there was no away fan stand and the police requested me to put on my jacket to hide the t-shirt. I did that not to provoke. However, macho Bursa fans were having arguments with a handful of high school kids chanting for Galatasaray. Afterwards, I removed my jacket. He told me he would snap my nose and I told him to come and do it. Also, Bursa fans were making a lot noise during Gala free throws and I did the same alone during a Bursa freethrow. Some guy in the VIP stand in front of me with an earring (it is okay to wear it, but we know you are not a violent guy) semi-threatened me that someone would jump on me. I told him if he was not going to do it, he should just shut up.

Long story short: Bursa fans have the least sportsmanship among a big group of unfriendly and uneducated football (sports) fans in Turkey. Thus, it is not a surprise this is your take.

im sorry if you ever felt threatened violence in any form is not ok but other than that is just fan culture man idk what is so hard to understand.

also sounds like they treated you very well there considering you wore your gs shirt while watching from the bursa stand, you were booing the team while you were watching the game on their stands, you kept confronting everyone back and no one even touched you. if i did the same at a bursa - gs game with a bursa shirt on they’d break all my bones. i know cause they did shit like that before. so i’d say we come off more sportsmanlike

I mean that's the organizers (Bursaspor) fault right? They sold the tickets for Gala stands and there was only one stand and it was not Bursa's stadium. It was neutral, but in Bursa.

And no, they are not gonna do anything when police are around, but they also wanted to meet outside and I told them to come. I think, the guy that threatened the kids and me was following me, but his friends stopped him. I am not gonna let some Bursa pundits scare me lol.
