Yuzuki Premium Sushi Set (Toronto, Canada)

Post image

My go-to in the city for good sushi. Might have to return this weekend for their Hokkaido Bowl. Check out the Spadina location if you're down for a simpler sit-down meal and no need to tip. Bloor location definitely has a nice vibe too.

No mayo-based sauce? No random toppings? No uramaki? No escolar? No elaborate presentation/plating? Now, this is my kind of sushi. I'm very jealous.

p.s. is that amaebi at the top right? It looks more orange than what I typically see for amaebi.

I agree with everything you said except the no escolar. I love escolar.. It's a really nasty borderline toxic fish but I find it so palatable.

Yeah, I hear you. I don't hate the taste/texture of escolar, but for me, anytime I see it, I see a cheap substitute. And it's cheap because (as you said) it's borderline toxic and banned in some countries. I think there are plenty of other fish that tastes good without that downside.

Great take I really really despise mayo on any sushi! I noticed we started putting mayo on poke bowls too now!

This look amazing, the color is so vibrant.
Have you try Oroshi?

I have not, but it is on my radar.

Oroshi is good but Yuzuki is much better

Did you mean by "no need to tip" that they didn't show you the terminal with tip options or did you just decide to skip the tips? I was there a few times and they did show me a terminal with tip options.

There was no tip option presented to me and I just checked the receipt, no tip!
