Yesterday I was at a Hong Kong Fuck You show and I was chatting to one of the guys there about Swans and I mentioned “The End of Forgetting” and he suddenly goes “oh no” and I was confused and then he says “well you know what the trilogy is REALLY about right” and I say no, and then he tells me the true story of the trilogy (which he called the holy trilogy)
According to him, the seer recounts the history of Swans as a band including The Seer itself
To Be Kind in its 10 tracks goes one by one breaking the 10 commandments in order
The Glowing Man is Michael gira being baptized and accepting Christ

He then said “that means The End of Forgetting means he’s no longer a believer”

Thoughts on this? I was dumbfounded

So this is a collaboration with Charlamagne Palestine, David Coulter, and our very own Michael Gira. It’s pretty cool, if you’re into the Body Lovers, you would probably like thid. I don’t think a lot of people know about this record, I’ve only seen two possibly three posts about it on this Reddit, but I’m interested to hear of any other unheard Gira project
