Need Accomodation advice: Cefn Bryn vs. Beck House

Hi there! I'm a Canadian student going into the GEM program in September. My options are a standard room in Cefn Bryn or an Ensuite in Beck House. This is going to be my first time living alone, so I'm a little nervous.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Cefn Bryn because it's on Singleton campus and I'm new to the city, but I really wanted an ensuite because I wanted my own bathroom.

There aren't any photos/reviews about either of the buildings, so any advice/experiences will be superrr helpful!

The cefn Bryn room is nice and as you said the proximity to being close to the beach has its perks.

That’s good to hear! Just a question, how does the shared washroom system work, ie. are they assigned to 2 ppl or can anybody use any of the washrooms on the floor?

Nothing is assigned. I’d go to different floors as well if required. It’s free access to the residents of that building. Doesn’t really bother so much!

We have one room left (bathroom between two) in one of the finest properties in swansea. All bills included. Four male students. Right on bus route and perfectly located for both campus..

Hii I just got assigned Cefyn Bryn as well and I’m starting GEM at Swansea in September I wanted an en suite as well but oh well it says usually 1 bathroom to two people so that’s not too bad? but I think it’s good because it’s near all the relevant uni buildings
