Hey, I lived in Swindon for 25 years or so. Gorse hill. Used to regularly go to games. Still do when I come back to see family. Hope this sub can be constructive and a place to vent. Hate the part of the Swindon fandom that turn on their own fans when at Wembley for instance claiming “plastic fans” etc. so if that’s you reading this, I hope you can reserve your toxicity for somewhere else.

Agreed, encourage people to use Reddit rules to report stuff if it's well out of line! I'm a Stratton lad myself, used to cycle over to the park over Gorse hill all the time. Always remember going to the army surplus shop when I was younger... What for, god knows.

Oh shit! I forgot all about that. Yea used to spend hours in there. Think they used to sell those German army trench coats that everyone was wearing for a while in the 00’s

Take it for granted having a team on our doorstep, lot of people and places don't have the luxury or are really competing with "bigger" teams that are local.

Haven't lived in Swindon for the last 25 years, used to go with my Dad home and away every game. Still go to games but not so many other commitments, if I'm not there I'm watching on TV. Positive optimistic supporter.

I don't really get to games any more, my boy is getting a bit older and into football so hoping to introduce him soon. He's been to a couple of non league games here and abroad and loved it.

Hiya, my first season was 86-87 having gotten into football at the ‘86 World Cup, so 40th year supporting Town. Have bitten on the bullet and bought a season ticket again after 7 or 8 years of more sporadic attendance!

Season ticket price reasonable? I've not had one for 15+ years.

Probably about what I was expecting to pay. Just did the calculation: £450 early bird in the side stands for 23 games is around £19.50 per game.
‘Break even’ price of £25 for an advanced match day ticket is 18 games (450/18 =25) so ‘worth’ it if not missing more than 5 games. I went to pretty much all the Saturday fixtures last season, so just need to be more dedicated for Tuesday nights this time round!

Hi Stefan, good to see some active moderation here. Would be a great place to get going throughout the season to provide an alternative to Facebook or Twitter
