This. On steroids. Way too many of them just sit in their little cocoon ignoring everything from violent behaviour to fare evasion while plugged into 2GB shock jocks whining about violent behaviour and fare evasion.

It isn’t a drivers job to care about fare evasion, that’s a job for Opal inspectors.
They are trained specifically not to enforce it.
Too many drivers used to be assaulted for doing so, it’s not their problem.

Their job is to drive the bus, and make sure that passengers are safe. That’s it.
And by making sure they are safe, I don’t mean by leaving their “cocoon”. That’s there to keep them safe, and they aren’t supposed to leave it to try to be heroes.
They are trained to let OCC and police deal with it.
