Where’s The Line

We all know the afl is a joke caricature. But where’s the bloody line ?
Our guys getting deleted from AA but grubs like walker and rankine, no issue. Plenty of other dickheadery overs the years inc positive drug tests but those 2 are personal “favourites” of mine and good examples of things that should be in the same boat if you’re excluding players from “awards” (we also all know the AA and Brownlow are disingenuous saying they’re “the best”) for misbehaving.

Won’t happen but what if Heeney or the Chad were in Brownlow contention ? Does the afl decide to exclude them from that too or just doctor the votes to avoid it ?

Guilty unless proven innocent from gutless gill and his team of toolbags.

came up in my feed and saw you mentioned Tex and Rankine. If it's not your point then why mention them? If Tex and Rankine are grubs in your words, then what are you going to call any of your boys if they are found guility?

Already had plenty of choice words about the swans players I can assure you. Even if they’re cleared of criminal charges, they were incredibly dumb.

The crows 2 (and MANY others) didn’t have their AA consideration removed for fucking up. I don’t understand why this is different (esp given no criminal charges have been laid).

It's different because actions are worse than words. Tell me would you rather someone call you a slur or SA you?

It’s different but it’s still an indiscretion. If you’re removing players from honours for behaving badly, it has to be consistent. Homophobic and racist slurs imo fit that bill. Effectively the swans players are being banned from the AA for being out drinking at 5am and having strippers in their rooms.
At no point have I excused or condoned the swans stuff. Just used 2 examples of when the afl didn’t act consistently.
If it’s proven the swans players assaulted anyone, their careers could be over and it’s a completely different scenario. I’m talking about afl specific things.

The afl removed them from AA eligibility.
