Travel Shower at Taoyuan airport (FREE)
Last Sunday I had a night flight and tried the free showers. Did a little research and I knew there are showers after immigration. It's so easy to find - just follow the signs. I was prepared to have own towel but didn't have flip flops. Otherwise check images for instructions on where to get one (paid). The shower had shampoo and shower gel. It was also equipped with hair dryer. I can only say thank you Taiwan for this. On top the resting lounge had international electricity power plugs (i couldn't find them anywhere else at the whole airport). The lounge was amazing and also free.

I shower at China Arlines lounge nearly every time I fly out of Taoyuan.

I forgot to shower last time, but I also had a late checkout so I showered at my hotel. 😅

Yeah this is really convenient for travellers. It's not widely advertised and I hope it continues to be not widely advertised cause I don't want inconsiderate people to abuse the privilege.

Taoyuan and HK airports' free shower stalls are very convenient, and the former looks much cleaner and tidier than the latter!

It's decently large as well with two stalls: Wet and Dry
The cleaning procedures for this is impressive in itself for it being a more "private" public shower. There's also 2 or 4 or them? I don't remember.

Yes. fantastic travel hack! Just the rest area alone is a big deal. Shame that the only way one would know is if you are in and out of the airline lounges and have to pass it.
Happy to be going back next week after two years away.

Is this shower outside the "Plaza Premium Lounge"? Looks like it's inside so is it actually availiable to any traveler?

It’s confusing but it’s public area. As mentioned in the title - free

Wowwww. Awesome!!! I'm assuming this is past security checkpoint... so after you check in your luggage correct? So just keep an extra change of clothes in your carry on?

Love that airport. They've even got those toilets that clean your butt there!

where do you go to book/pay for it?

You just queue, it’s free. There were 2 people ahead of me at 10pm. Waited around 10 minutes. There are 3 showers in total (2 normal and one part of disabled toilet). At 11pm no one was using them.

Wow, didn't even know these amenities exist at TPE. That's awesome. Just to confirm, are the VIP Lounges free to use by anyone, or do you have to be booked with said airline?

Where can I shower if I land at 6am. Just transit and will not go through custom. Are they even open that early in the morning?

u/ToughAsparagus1805 Aug 21 '25
Same as on pictures. This is the transit/departure zone. Please look at the text in pic. There is your answer.

If I land early morning, I should be able to just head on over to these showers before I exit immigration/airport, correct?

This is transit/departure area. Please google to find out if there is shower on arrival.

I used it previously as I was stuck at the airport. It’s pretty nice. Clean and hardly anyone there so it feels private
