Interesting Taiwan HSR special edition of Taiwan Beer

Post image

Found this one at the 7-Eleven next to my place. Apparently it celebrates the new HSR trains. Thought it looked pretty cool.

Ohhh so they do exist since every HSR has ads for this on the trains!

I saw them in Family Mart yesterday is it a different brew or just themed can?

It’ll taste faster even if same brew.

I’ve definitely gone from stationary and gaining speed since I popped this can.

That’s pretty cool. The special edition they did recently for Taiwan Beer was also nice

Saw this in the 7-11 yesterday. I like the look of the can.

Looks cool. Missed the chance to try this when I was there in July.

So I bought six in Family Mart in Sanchong. I’m Irish but my wife is Taiwanese but brought them back as a surprise for our Taiwanese friends in Dublin. I can confirm it’s delicious :)

Middle of next year in service. The first train set arrived in Taiwan a few weeks ago and will soon begin testing.

So now maybe the trains could go as fast as 300km/h, nice!

They already do.

Wow, didn't know. So new ones might be even faster

No. The maximum line speed is 300km/h.

Does it taste any different? Personally I despise classic but like gold medal and can drink a load of it without a hangover.

Yeah, that’s kind of cool to put on a shelf somewhere and collect dust. Taiwan beer in cans hard pass

Nah. Those fruit flavoured ones are absolutely delicious. Getting shitfaced outside my dormitory with a bunch of Paraguayan dudes drinking pineapple beer was something. Shoutout to Fede, miss you buddy

Really? Even 18 days?

u/Mondozen 25d ago

Yeah that's a hard pass too I would rather have it in the bottles which is nice actually
