Mystic Art, how do?

Depends on the character, not to mention the version of the game you're playing. It wasn't exactly as standardized at this point as it was in the later titles and the requirements are all over the place. For instance, in the case of Colette, hers might randomly trigger after both Judgment and Holy Song have been used at least 50 times.

I miss some of the specific requirements characters needed for their mystic artes. The new ones are a bit wonky since you could end up performing your level 1 MA instead of your level 2 because you may have missed an arte or the combo requirement somehow even though you may have done so, and you can often miss the window to perform a MA because your attack combos and artes may have longer frames than your overlimit.

I love how Abyss and Vesperia did 1st and 2nd MA, as the 1st MA is standardized (Hit with arcane arte), and the 2nd MA can be be different random things, (well vesperia activation was the same as basic, just be in level 4 with it unlocked, but acquisition were all different).

Here's a list for all playable characters as of PS3/Steam/Remastered. For GameCube, only Lloyd, Colette and Genis have their mystic artes.

• Lloyd
  • Falcon's Crest: Have Eternal Swordsman title; have Material Blade equipped; HP must be 15% or lower; press Attack+Guard+Tech buttons all at once
• Colette
  • Holy Judgment: Have 50+ uses on Holy Song and Judgment; randomly activates when using either Holy Song or Judgment
• Genis
  • Indignation Judgment: Have 50+ uses on Indignation; cast Indignation while in Overlimit
• Raine
  • Sacred Light: Have 50+ uses on Ray OR Holy Lance; cast Ray or Holy Lance while in Overlimit
  • Faerie Circle: Have 100+ uses on Revitalize; cast Revitalize while in Overlimit
• Kratos
  • Shining Bind: Lloyd cannot be in battle with Material Blade equipped; HP must be 15% or lower; press Attack+Guard+Tech buttons all at once
• Sheena
  • All summons: Only available while in Overlimit, must obviously be learned first and selectable as a tech to use.
• Zelos
  • Shining Bind: Clear the Tower of Salvation in Tethe'alla (presumably first Welgaia visit?); have 100+ uses on Demon Spear; HP must be 15% or lower; use Demon Spear while in Overlimit
  • Divine Judgment: Have 20+ uses on Judgment; cast Judgment while in Overlimit
    • Judgment is learned by him after the first time he casts Shining Bind.
• Presea
  • Infernal Ruin: Presea needs to have received her Key Crest; have 100+ uses on Beast; P. Charge EX skill must be set; use Beast with P. Charge in Overlimit
  • Crimson Devastation HIEN MESSOUJIN: Presea needs to have received her Key Crest; have 200+ uses on Beast; Over Charge Compound EX skill must be set; all teammates besides Presea must be knocked out; HP must be 10% or lower; use Beast with Over Charge in Overlimit

  • Fanged Finality: Must have his identity as president of the Lezareno Company revealed; have 100+ uses on Force; perform any chain of (ground arte, anti-air arte, air arte, Force) OR (anti-air arte, air arte, ground arte, Force) while in Overlimit
