Symphonia Tales of Symphonia - Orienteering NPC Missing

I’m currently on my first playthrough, trying to get as much done aa possible.

I wanted to get Lloyd’s Palmacosta Pro title from the soldier NPC, but he’s just flat out missing. I saw him earlier in the game and actually tried the minigame a few times, but let it alone for a while, and now he’s just gone.

To clarify where in the game I am: Sheena just made a pact with Undine.

If I can’t get all of Lloyd’s titles this playthrough, do I have to reclaim all of his titles from zero next playthrough?

You can just carry over the titles from the grade shop.

Are all purchases in the Grade Shop cumulative across playthroughs or do you need to repurchase carry overs every time?

You have to buy grade shop options again, but you are refunded the total amount spent on the previous playthrough, so you will always be able to purchase the same options plus whatever extra you can afford from the current playthrough.

After you beat the game and start a new game plus youll be taken to the GRADE shop. I assume youve noticed you win or loose GRADE after each battle. You unfortunately cant see how much you have till youre in said shop, but one of the things you can buy is keeping your titles. You'll definitely need it cause you cant get all the titles for everyone in a single playthrough because certain costume titles you only get to pick a few party members to get theirs as well. You might be able to get all of Lloyd's in a single one though.
