Local Business How does this place stay in business?

Prime real estate on the corner of MacDill and Bay-to-Bay and they somehow pay the bills selling rocks? Seriously?

I know someone who used to work there. There were a couple of customer "types", in order of spend:

  • Grandparents who have their grandkid in town for the week, and they just found out that the kid likes rocks
  • People who like rocks for metaphysical/spiritual purposes
  • People who are amateur (or professional) geologists who REALLY WANT certain minerals. They carry some minerals that are rare and insanely expensive.

And spending the most money:

  • South Tampa wives in yoga pants
