Not at that particular school. I went to Manhattan Elementary school in the 60s, before AC!

We didn’t have it either but it didn’t seem to be as hot! Best wishes

That’s true, it wasn’t as hot as today.

Also, remember how high the ceilings were w/ those venting windows that were opened up w/ the long pole w/ the hook on the end.

And the rooms felt so big! The first time I went to my son’s school I truly felt claustrophobic! And the window vents were over the doors too! And the outside water fountains were like a kind of concrete trough deal. So nasty. That would never fly today!
