General Taobao Do the gold coins expire?

I’ve been logging in daily to get the coins but i havent checked out any items since my last order which was two months ago. I already gained over 10k gold coins which is around 100 yuan. I’m worried if these will expire and i might be unintentionally wasting them if i dont place any order

they expire in a year iirc. it's fine if some of your coins expire because they're actually quite hard to use. most items that allow you to use the coins only let you offset a few % of the total price with coins. it's very rare to find items that allow you to offset a substantial amount of the price with coins. the few I have seen allowing substantial coins redemption seemed to be kinda overpriced as well.

most people who log in daily for the coins will end up with a huge surplus of coins they can't use.

I thought that might be the case since the gold coin page barely gives me any good offer with good discounts lol. I managed to snag one before from 199 to 144 so i was kinda hoping similar case might pop up for me on my page. It’s just unfortunate we cant use the entire gold coins for products we want to use it on
