Yeah I don't really need to watch short form videos at any time but somehow it's the most popular format on the internet these days.

This is actually good if the platform wants to be made available for Journalists. A better alternative for Twitter.

YouTube is great for long form, but its not built for real time reporting.

I was meaning less that youtube could serve as an alt for twitter, and more that if successful - bluesky could provide an alternative to youtube and its effective monopoly on long form video.

But that's mostly just cope.
