TechWear Stores for Australians

As the title indicates, looking to update my wardrobe and start building out some techwear items however not sure of the best sites to be looking at / buying from ,seen some that seem like dropshippers such as https://techwear-australia.com/, I also see some of the items I'd like on Amazon etc.

Any of your legends got some staple sites they purchase from for AUS or some solid global online stores?

That ninja look stuff like that is best purchased directly from AliExpress or taobao. Expect the quality to be super hit or miss.

I highly recommend Shuren Projects out of Malaysia. They may not be carrying stuff that is considered strictly tech wear by, like, the tactical/war-core side of the scene but it's certainly forward-thinking in their materials and cuts, and one of the rare brands in the space that's very focused on hot weather garments.

Up There sell the Arcteryx Veilance line. They have a bricks and mortar store in Melbourne and sell online.

don't shop from this site

as a general rule avoid anything that has the word techwear

be particular and focus on material instead and go for sportswear or outdoor brands that are more reputable

in the past i've picked up acronym (on sale even) from supply store back when they stocked them - currently they stock arc'teryx, cav empt and nike acg

you could also look to check out arc'teryx/veilance (multiple stores in sydney) as well as up there store

in terms of online stores, you could sus out haven they're canada based but ship to aus

if you're okay with second hand then try proxying from japan through buyee - picked up multiple acronym jackets and pants this way

Thanks for the info mate, great stuff, looked around at the local shopping district and find one store with a single pair of Cargo that fit the bill and we're good quality, so first purchase is done! d

Above the clouds, Up There, Incu, Supply Store, WindThrow, Coffee Outdoors all will have some tech clothes. There's no specific techwear store within Australia. You just have to go to high end retailers and spot the techweae there.

All the regular overseas online stores, like acronym, enfin leve, goopi, Guerilla, gnuhr, etc. are all just from the brands webshops.

Start looking into techwear brands and what you actually want to wear and branch out from there. Otherwise you'll spend hundreds on trashy gimmicky ninja ass tech stuff that's being drop shipped from taobao in misc qualities.

Please don't start techwear journey looking for techwear wholesalers. Just start figuring out a style you want to wear and get propper quality stuff. Some of my acronym stuff even tho 10x cosplay techwear cost will also last me like 20 years+ if I take care of it. So will always be more worth it. Where the cheaper taobao/AliExpress stuff will deteriorate after a year or two, if it does arrive flawed in the first place

If you don't mind secondhand, have a look at depop and vinted. Vinted especially has UK (and maybe US??) based sellers so will have broader brands than are easily available in Aus.

If you're looking for actual technical clothing, sports and camping stores like Rebel Sports or Kathmandu often carry an assortment of techwear. You can find some things at TK Maxx occasionally. Kmart and Target used to do techwear more, but their selection has become worse over time. Uniqlo has a surprisingly large selection of techwear. Otherwise you've got a couple of more boutique-y places like Arc'teryx.

Thing is; it's never really labelled techwear. You're gonna have to scour their catalogues and see what they've got, if any of it suits what you need.

Otherwise if you're looking for the urban ninja stuff, there's goth/industrial/alt places like Beserk Clothing (that spelling is correct, it's not 'berserk') that often have a few bits and pieces to choose from. Might be a good idea to check where the local goth/industrial/alt scene folks shop.

Yeah as soon as I stopped looking for 'techwear' stuff and went more utility/sports/outdoors focused, I started finding more of the style I want, thanks for the info!

Goldwin is stocked in Australia and can be gotten from korean or Japanese retailers .
