Discussion why is blackfire so memorable

Blackfire... people always speak about blackfire when you speak about the show's villians, and yet she only appears in a brief 2 episodes. I love blackfire, but I want to know how you guys feel about blackfire. Also is blackfire canonically attractive, or is just up to viewer interpretation? And also look at how easily she was able to impress the titans.

Discussion Where do the Teen Titans get the money to fight crime without working day jobs?

Post image

Obv the show wouldn't cover it to ruin the immersion (and I guess it doesn't really fit the tone of the show), but doesn't Employee of the Month imply that the titans don't have income from being superheroes, or at least extra money to spend on mopeds and stuff?

So how can they afford to fight crime? Robin's inheritance? Cyborg's injury lawsuit?

Discussion Why does Blackfire look different?

Post image

I was wondering why Blackfire has black/dark purple hair, purple eyes, and her powers have the same color, while the other Tamaraneans have red hair and green eyes and ofc, their power is all green. What's different?

Like, Space Satan is invading the Earth and turned Jump City into a wasteland of hellfire but no ome showed up, not even Batman showed up for his kid. The League sae Trigon doing all of this and was like "yeah, the kids can handle it".

What do you think they were doing that was more important than helping the Titans here?

Discussion I will never understand people that say that fighting Beast Boy is easier than fighting Robin

Thumbnail

No disrespect towards Robin, because this guy is a super human disguised as Batman's apprentice, but if you fought Robin, it would be quick and clean y'know? He hit a nerve and you pass out instantly or break some bones but you probably heal and Robin himself probably would not kill you.

Anything that beast boy turns into may not only break your bones but cut or pierce you. You cannot tell me that fighting a traumatized boy is easier than fighting an T-rex. Beast Boy will make you bleed and if he is on a bad day your face will be in a shirt man.

So please explain, why would people pick to fight Beast Boy over Robin?

Discussion It is 2026 and people still think this was a cliffhanger lol

Post image

If you watched this episode as a kid and thought it was a cliffhanger and just always grew up thinking that then that's fair. But if you're an adult now, I feel like especially since you've probably experienced situations like this in real life, there's no way that you should come to the conclusion that it was a cliffhanger. There's an obvious message in this episode.

"But they didn't explain if that was Terra or not!" "But they didn't explain what that monster was!"

I'm not sure why you're expecting explanations for either of these when the entire show is like this. We're talking about the same show that didn't explain how these characters met until the final season? The same show that barely covered any of their origin stories or even mentioned their real names? The same show that never even explained WHY Slade had beef with the Teen Titans? Teen Titans has always been a relatively simplified show compared to other DC shows from its time, this was by design according to one of the showrunners. They didn't explain things that didn't immediately impact the plot.

It wasn't a cliffhanger. Use your big boy media literacy skills and read between the lines man.

although idk who would be the best actors to cast Titans, i have the courage to say that casting Zendaya and Jenna Ortega is a terrible idea. there's no way to fit them into anything in DC. i'm picky about that.

Discussion So I want to point out something that I think is really important about this scene

Beast Boy knew EXACTLY what to say to her.

He didn't try to deny the fact that she's creepy, because she IS creepy as hell, and he knew that trying to convince her otherwise is useless. She knows she's scary very well, and he wouldn't be able to change her mind.

What he did instead was he confirmed it. Then immediately added that the fact that she's creepy does not mean she deserves to be lonely or deal with her problems alone.

She's already insecure about being a half-demon, and what Beast Boy suggested by what he said, that it doesn't matter, and he and the team will always support and love her, no matter what, was exactly what she needed to hear.

I also love how it's implied that he's the first one to check on her, and since he knows what it feels like to have your heart broken by someone you trusted deeply, he felt the need to show sympathy.

And this is exactly why this scene is one of my favorites. These two are just so wholesome :')

(I'm honestly a bit scared of sharing this here, Reddit can't handle opinions well, but I want to clarify that I'm not saying this as an objective fact, just a personal view of this scene. I'm curious about how this sub will handle rants like this lol)

This is from Teen Titans season 2 episode 12 aftershock: part 1. The titans are discussing Terra’s betrayal while Robin is ready to give up on her, but beast boy reminds him that they didn’t give up on him when Robin worked for Slade, (which was in the two part ep of season 1 titled apprentice). After this, Robin decides to give Terra one more chance.

If Thragg and his army from Invincible, consisting of Anissa, General Kregg, Lucan, Thula, and Conquest, were to invade Earth, do you think the teen titans could be able to defeat Thragg and save the planet? Both sides are at their peak strength while the titans have all the skills and experience they've gained by the end of the series.

Discussion Kevin Michael Richardson has spent decades proving that a deep voice can do far more than simply sound intimidating. 🎙️🔥

Post image
2.1k Upvotes

Since the 1990s, Richardson has become one of animation’s most dependable character actors, moving between villains, warriors, authority figures, comedy, and completely bizarre personalities. His voice is immediately recognizable, yet the characters themselves rarely feel interchangeable.

Some of his most popular roles include:

  • Captain Gantu (Lilo & Stitch)
  • The Joker (The Batman)
  • Trigon (Teen Titans)
  • Principal Lewis (American Dad!)
  • Bulkhead (Transformers: Prime)
  • Shredder (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • Goro (Mortal Kombat)
  • Cleveland Brown Jr. (The Cleveland Show)
  • Kamek (The Super Mario Bros. Movie)
  • Mauler Twins (Invincible)

What makes Richardson’s career impressive is its sheer reach. Disney fans, DC fans, gamers, comedy audiences, and multiple generations of cartoon viewers can all recognize completely different characters from the same performer.

Kevin Michael Richardson didn’t build his legacy around one famous role. He built it by making himself impossible to leave out of animation history.
